Mas maganda ung G2 compare 707II and if you want G2 with Expression get G2.1u may expression pedal siya for wah and volume control. Yung effects ng G2/G2.1 ay mas maganda compare to 707II coz it really sounds very2x close to analog compare to older model. For your Budget of 3K, dagdag ka na lang ng konti and buy ZOOM G1, eto ung lastest sa G Series, released last August 2006. It has same processor as G2 and could also produce same good tone. Difference ng G1 and G2. G1 has hard plastic enclosure but durable even comparing to older zoom multieffects and it's easy to use para bang Plug N' Play pag sa computer, yung G2 naman has a metal enclosure, mas matigast toh and you have more tweaking option. Yung G1 is at 4,100 pag regular price and if mkahingi ka ng discount or pag onsale, its around 3,280 lang ata. Yung G2 naman around 6K reg price and about 5k+ if onsale or discounted, yung G2.1 mga 9K+ pero pag onsale or discounted probably mga 8k or 7K+. Get the Gseries coz it sounds very close to the analog pedals their trying to emulate.

Yup, ganun din yung observation ko, mas maganda nga talaga yung drive ng 505 compared to G1X, though mas madaming feature yung G series. therefore i should buy analog pedals for my dirt drives..thanx for the opinion sir!

yup, i agree, dala ko sa office one time yung G2 ko dati, kakabili ko lang kasi nun, then i wanted my shredder officemate to try it, and check kung trip nya yung patches ko. dala din nya yung 505 nya, yung lumang 505 pa, hehe. nagulat ako eh, hindi ko matanggap na mas maganda tunog nung 505 nya kaysa dun sa G2 ko, hehehe. naisip ko na lang, "well at least mas matibay G2 ko, hehe"

i don't think kaya pagsabayin yung flanger and chorus sa G2, it only has 1 modulation module eh. so 1 modulation effect at a time.

the G2 and G2.1u is basically the same unit. difference lang naman nila yung pedal and USB connectivity ng G2.1u. now if you think you'll be needing a pedal or the USB connecctivity, sa G2.1u ka na.

kasi i sold my old 505 to my bandmate. then pag ginagamit nya yung drive nung 505 grabe di ko maiwasang maikumpara yung tunog nung drive nya dun sa G1X ko, yung sakin kasi nagtutunog piano minsan (di ko ma define eh, kaya tunog piano na lang  ) naisip ko tuloy i trade na lang yung G1X ko dun sa luma kong 505..hehe

Hmmm. Maybe just a few more tweaking lang sa G1. Kasi nakakagawa ako ng mga gud dirt tone using my G1. Fav ko ung Mesa Boogie Rectifier ung BG and BD, Peavey 5150, Extreme Distortion, MXR Dist+, Marshall OD and High Gain Disto, Fuzz, Lead and Hotbox. Yung hindi ko lang nagustuhan sa emulation nila ay yung Boss OD-1 and Metal Zone emulator. I just can't get good dirt tone out of those. I think nasa pag timpla lang. Medyo mas easier lang kasi itimpla ung 505 na ginagamit ko dati compare sa g1, pero if you get use to tweaking the EQ of G1, madali na makuha ung mga dirt tone na gusto niyo. Opinion ko lang yun, you might feel different with G1.
