ang swerte ko lng sa drums ay nung 2nd year high school ako ay binigyan ako ng classmate ko Gibraltar na double peds, di nya daw mabenta ng P2500 kaya binigay nlng nya haha may iba pa pala, dati nung highschool mga '97 yun may nakipagswap sakin ng hihats Planet Z ung sakin sa kanya B8pro sabi nya mas gusto daw nya ang Zildjian kesa Sabian hahahaha tpos recently lng may nakuha akong 10" Zildjian Edge na splash ng walang bayad (sayang ung Pearl Eliminator na double peds, nakuha ko na mga 5 months na nasakin tpos kinuha nya kse pupunta daw sya ng states sayang hehe) anyway ayos pa din nabubuhay ako sa libre lang haha :-D

i've been lucky na ok naman yung mga deals pag ako ang bumibili... pinaka-LUGI na deal ko lang as a SELLER eh yung 20" a custom medium crash na i had to sell for dirt cheap kasi ilang buwan na dito sa PM wala pa ring seryosong buyer. nabenta ko pa siya nung PINOYDRUMS CHRISTMAS party 2007 sa purple haze...
in my defense, sooobrang tagal na talagang FS nun and i needed the cash like a dog with a rash. so ayun. hehehe.

Bought an 18" Xs20 MedThin Crash for 6k, traded it for a 16" A Custom Crash, traded that for an 18" K Custom Dark Crash, then traded that for my current 18" A Medium Thin Crash. 6k lang nalabas ko pero ang dami na nangyari hahahaha!
Isa pa is yung trinade ko yung Tama Superstar Birch snare ko for a Pearl Steel Free Floating snare. :lol:

Pinaka panalo siguro way back in college. I bought a set of Zildjian Edge for 14k +++ (orig price 24k Sale sa JB kasi ididiscontinued na) then after ilang months binenta ko @ 15k w/o the splash. :-D And my 17 K custom Dark Crash bought it at JB Music Fairview October 2002. Sale ng 8750php w/ free cymbal bag,drumstick,T-Shirt and Zildjian day vid sa VHS hahaha. and most of all maganda yung nagbenta, nakalimutan ko nalang yung pangalan niya sa sobrang taaagaaaallll na. :-o
Pinaka talo. Bought a Gibraltar 5611 prowler double peds @ 7200php. then after a month 6611 is sale @ 6300. :-D Ang mas talo sold my prowlers ng 4200 bnew condition dahil di naman ako natuto mag doubles. Pero ok lang, common friend naman yung nakakuha.

My former Ludwig CS Custom 100% 6-piece Birch kit with Ludwig hardware and throne. Super alaga, sariwa. Sold everything a year ago including the drum throne for P24.5k still regretting it til now. Hirap talaga pag nawalan ng work. Haay buhay, pero swerte naman ako last month I got a Gretsch Catalina Ash liquid black. Ipon na lang for affordable, used, quality cymbals. Slowly but surely...

bro, eto yung sound clip ng 1920s Ludwig Brass mo! Panalo tunog! same model. :)
Same model pero yung sa akin pinalitan ko muna pansamantala ng regular flanged hoops habang naghahanap ng bargain snare claws. Tiyaka malayo ang tunog pala ng Fiberskyn sa Ambassador. Although the clip here tells more about the shell tone. Very warm and has a nice pop great for jazz. These snare drums cost up to USD800 nowadays.

hi guys, drummer ako sa pinas pero sa local church namin for more than 10 years na.currently, i'm working here sa abu dhabi, UAE. just wanna share my unexpected blessing... :-D 2 weeks ago, may isang indian guy binenta ung YAMAHA DTX IV special electronic drums nya, 1,300 dirhams lang ( equivalent to 15 K pesos sa present exchange rate) kasi nag move out cla tapos d na ata interested s drumming....so, ayun, same day binili ko...hehehe i'll post pics soon. good day, God bless us all.

hi guys, drummer ako sa pinas pero sa local church namin for more than 10 years na.currently, i'm working here sa abu dhabi, UAE. just wanna share my unexpected blessing... :-D 2 weeks ago, may isang indian guy binenta ung YAMAHA DTX IV special electronic drums nya, 1,300 dirhams lang ( equivalent to 15 K pesos sa present exchange rate) kasi nag move out cla tapos d na ata interested s drumming....so, ayun, same day binili ko...hehehe i'll post pics soon. good day, God bless us all.

eto sakin pearl masterworks na 6pcs with hardware for 35k tapos budget ko for overhauling would be 20k. hehe ayus na din sa 55k,hehe :)

I sold my Pearl export series Snare for Php. 1500 and bought a Sonor German maple snare for Php. 3000 (form drummer of punk band MOYG) dito palang panalo na. then some emo drummer here in Philmusic traded my sonor that has alread a value of Php1500 (since i sold my old pearl snare) sonor snare straight trade to a Brandnew JJ snare.. san ka pa! 1.5k worth JJ snare. KABOOM!!!!!

Pumasok ako sa isang second hand shop. Naghahanap ako ng tools na mura. Nung mapansin ko ung drums, syiempre lapit ako. Mumurahing drums, Basix drum set. Pero nagtaka ako ng makita ko na 10 lugs at die cast hoops. Tiningnan ko at nagulat na Ludwig Supraphonic ang snare.
Sabi ko, ok to, LM400 at 9.9k kasama complete drumset. Pero dahil walang pera, naisip ko kung pwedeng snare na lang baka bigay ng mas mura. Sabi ng nagtitinda hindi pwede, dapat lahat sila. Umuwi akong luhaan. Kasi dati na akong may LM400, binenta ko at sayang dahil sya isa sa pinaka gusto kong tunog bukod sa Yamaha 9000 Birch ko.
Isip isip ako, since mura na un, nag bakasakali ako after 2 weeks, andun pa sya. Nag tanong ako ulit. This time kung may tawad pa ba ung 9.9k. E ayaw nila magbigay ng presyo, bigay ko daw presyo ko. So sabi ko 6.6K, punta sya sa manager, bumalik, 7.5. Napaisip ako, sabi, may mga kulang sa drumset, nawawala kasi hihat clutch. So 6.6 na lang, aba pumayag, yehey!
Sabi snare lang muna iuuwi ko kasi di kasya sa sasakyan. Aba laking gulat ko sa snare. Sabi ko parang mas mbigat kaysa dati. Yun pala dahil LM402 sya, 6.5x14, lalong yehey!
Pagbalik ko ng kukunin ko ung iba pang set, nagulat ako na Ludwig Speed king pala pedal. Naging triple yehey.
Although beaten up ang skin, medyo ok pa rin kasi tama number of lugs. 6 lugs sa 12/13 toms 8 lugs sa Floor tom at Bass.

@royaltonnes recent lang pagkabili. Di ako sure kung magkano ung drums, likely 10k mark. Ung snare of same era atleast 10k sa ebay. May free pa na cymbals, Zildjian zht hats and ride +Camber Crash/ride. mga 2k ung worth ng Speedking.
