share ko lang 'bout smart bro

Smartbro.

we all know na pede i-share ang smartbro sa LAN/wireless LAN using router.
Settings sa router ay Automatic and then Clone yung mac address ng PC kung saan ka last nakapag-login sa portal and be able to use the internet.

Now.
1) ayaw mag-adopt ng smartbro sa ibang PC (LAptop in my brother's case). yes, smartbro looks @ the mac address, so dapat kapag ibang mac address dapat lalabas yung portal, kung saan mo i-activate. the problem nga eh, ayaw sa IBANG PC/laptop.

2) before nung nasa bicol sila, ok namana yung smartbro dun, just setup properly yung internet sa isang PC, then mac clone sa router and set it to Automatic, ok na. The problem is, even with mac cloned, it doesn't work. we tried D-link, Linksys, pati yung sa CDr-king, ayaw din.

Proxy type server.

Router will serve as switch only (we're making our router a little dumber ^_^)
It works, disable lang namin yung DHCP server ng router, and then Laptop2 connected using router's LAN port.

Another thing is LAPtop yung mga PC and are meant to be use anywhere sa bahay.

This is what we do.
• set the router to have DHCP server again.
• set router internet settings to Static IP
• we gave the router the ip 192.168.0.99 (based on the LAN2 of Laptop1 which automatically set by windows to 192.168.0.1)
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.1 (LAptop1's Lan2's IP)
DNS: we use open DNS
• then nilipat namin yung UTP cable from LAptop1's LAN2 sa WAN port ng router.

And then viola it works, wired and for Wireless. We tried sa Mobile phone with wi-fi pati sa LAptop. ^_^

God Bless!
