I think this is meant for the GC forums, but in answer, it all starts with your pickups and your grounding.

insulation also reduces that noise... INSIDE YOUR GUITAR. And use good and high quality audio cables also.

email me if you want to know the insulation technique inside. make sure you know how to solder.

Sa adaptor yan ng multi fx. Make sure na orig adaptor gamit mo. Minsan ang required is 500ma pag 300ma na adaptr ginamit mo my hum talaga yan. The solution is ipa regulate mo ang adaptor. Try mo din ibang gitara plug sa mfx mo para ma check kung my hum din or kung my battery slot mfx mo try mo lagyan ng baterry instead of ac adaptor.

try to check all your cables, try mo din imute yung mga hindi ginagamit na channels, alam ko isang factor din yun, tsaka yung grounding ng kuryente, dapat walang loops na nangyayari. . . pwede ding yung solder pangit na kaya nangyayari yun. . . basta bro check mo lahat lalo na kung saan galing at papunta yung signals mo. . .

correct me nalang kung may mali sa mga nasabi ko. . .  :-)

This is a VERY GOOD observation. Almost all generic adaptors I've seen usually had half wave rectification and poor filtering, the result being that AC noise enters the device. Best to use the original adaptors or convert the existing to full wave.

on your guitar, electronics should be shielded, even with your guitar wire should be a quality low noise and shielded. if you are using a power supply use something that is regulated and filtered (i used to build my own power supply for my pedel before , no noise!); sometime you need to have a phase switch on your amps to isolate that problem...i hope this helps, on my rig before i detected noise and its not tolerable, its coming from a bass guitar that is not properly shielded...

it doesn't remove the hum and it will still be present in the sound. improperly used, noise gates will cut off reverb/delay decays as well as soft notes.

the usual cause of "humm on guitar effects" is that ur power supply is not compatible with the effects that u are using... u can confirm this by using battery on ur effects if the hum disappears then it means that it's really the power supply causing the hum... i recommend that  use a "regulated" power supply on ur effects so that the power going in your ped would be consistent and not cause any unnecessary noise and also prevent damage to ur effects.
