hello all! as some of you already know, i'll be home sometime in the later half of april for vacation. i've been receiving alot of queries on my guitar lesson offer in the other forum (music school) that i thought i'd do something similar to what master perf did the last time he went home which is, to do a 4 hour "clinic" seeing also that i have very limited time to spend due to prior engagements.

i'm trying to determine how many people would be interested in something like this so that i know whether i should even bother setting it up.

so, let me know folks. if this topic ends up in page 4 in a span of 5 mins, i won't be offended.

please post all questions, concerns, etc etc in this topic

I've had Markflo's lessons before and let me tell you guys na super duper SULIT. I learned a lot. He tailors his lessons according to your learning capability. The guy can really teach plus he is one helluva supah koooool guy.

as far as content, i will answer (by example, of course) any questions you may have about guitar improvisation. this may include topics such as scales (3 note per string vs traditional, i also have a new jimmy bruno fingering technique!), proper use & an alternate view of modes (which will include a lesson about the harmonized major scale), various picking techniques (alternate, economy, hybrid & sweep picking) developing your phrasing (blues, rock & jazz)

also i can touch upon the not so usual topics such as altered scales, diminished & augmented scales, whole tone, switching back & forth bet a regular 7 note scale & the pentatonic scale, new ideas for pentatonics, jazz enclosures, chromaticisms, coltrane changes (if i master it before i get there! heheeh), soloing over dom 7ths, ii V I's etc etc...

whatever fits in 4 hours!

now YOU guys tell me what you want me to teach!

as far as the venue goes pwede naman natin pagusapan yan. somewhere in the middle. i'm from the south so maybe we can rent a studio or something. san ba yung kela perf?

registration fee for the whole 4 hours would be PHP400per head. i was initially going to do one on one lessons but there's really not enough time. also i wanted to make it affordable & accessible for everyone.

i promise everyone will come out of there having gained more practical knowledge on improvisation.

definitely may materials...there will definitely be audio visual examples during the lessons. however, i always encourage my students to take down their own notes...it's the best way to retain a lesson in your memory...just like the way you do when you go to regular school. there will be various handouts of the more complex topics

Very interested, depende sa timing sana weekend.

I absolutely do not know how to improvise. I do know some scales and fingerings I suck at chords, what would be reasonable for me to expect from this? Also kanya kanyang dala ng gear or something?
