I've stumble upon this interesting Christian-phase in Lennon's life.

Over the following months he baffled those close to him by constantly praising “the Lord,” writing Christian songs with titles like “Talking with Jesus” and “Amen” (the Lord’s Prayer set to music), and trying to convert nonbelievers. He also called the prayer line of The 700 Club, Pat Robertson’s program.

Apparently, Yoko Ono "saved" John from Christianity (as the song You Saved My Soul says).

Pero ang gusto ko lang naman ay MP3 ng Christian songs ni Lennon (Talking With Jesus and Amen). Meron ba tayo diyan?  :-D

More of the Christian-phase Lennon here:
http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2007/januaryweb-only/001-22.0.html

Another reason to hate Yoko for the Ono-haters.

Super interesado talaga ako madinig itong mga kantang ito. Isang matinding pagsasaliksik ito. Gud lak sa akin.  :-D

i read from the book of jeff godwin about john. share ko sa lahat.

johns favorite number is 9 (from tarot cards). that's why we have the songs, one after 909, revolution 9, number 9th dream. when he married yoko he requested to the officiating priest to begin the ceremony at exactly 9 o clock. lo and behold when he was shot dec 10 in new york, it was still dec 9 then in his birth place liverpool.

He changed his name which i unfornately forgot to memorize, 9 din ang letter ''o" believing he'll get more good fortune and total expression of his love to yoko Ono

baka may nakaka alam sa pangalan ni john na may 9 letter o jan , clue! john winston ono lennon(dinagdagan nya pa ito) :-)

May 26 is the 40th anniversary of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s famous Montreal Bed-In for Peace. To commemorate their powerful protest, Liverpool’s Beatles Story will be hosting the premiere of a new photo exhibition Give Peace A Chance: John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Bed-in for Peace from the anniversary date through to August 15.

Something about The Beatles & Led Zeppelin

They didn't comment on each other that much really. Plant, Bonham and Jones were a part of Paul McCartney's supergroup 'Rockestra' and performed in one of the world's first charity rock concerts with The Concert for Kampuchea in 1979.

John Paul Jones was a part of Paul McCartneys fictional band in the 80's film 'Give My Regards To Broadstreet' (included the McCartney hit 'No More Lonely Nights').

Zep members and Beatles were friends through mutual acquaintances, and would appear at each others' weddings and birthday parties, but they weren't exactly close friends. The respect was evident, but there's not too many actual quotes where they comment on each other in public.

George Harrison was more noted for hanging out with Zep than any other Beatle, that's for certain.  At John Bonham's 25th birthday party, it was Harrison who started the debauchery all because he knew the nature of the beast he was about to enter.. so instead of bowing his head and succumbing to what he knew was to come (this WAS John Bonhams party after all...enough said) George decided to take the bull by the horns and get things going.  When a photo op. presented itself, Harrison grabbed the top tier of Bonham's birthday cake and heaved it at the guest of honor.  Pandemonium ensued with Bonham throwing anyone he could find into the swimming pool, Harrison included.  Jimmy Page, who could not swim and was dressed in a truly expensive lavender suit.. gave up and simply walked slowly and gallantly into the pool, fully dressed.  It was hilarious.

On another note, it was also George Harrison who is given credit for The Rain Song.  He commented to Jimmy that the trouble with Zep is that there's not enough ballads.  Jimmy wrote The Rain Song, and some say purposefully added the first 2 chords of Harrison's "Something" as the intro to "The Rain Song".  Upon initial listening, one cannot argue with that logic.  No doubt it is true.

Re: Beatles and the Rolling Stones

1. Sabi ni Jack Black sa kanyang special column sa Acoustic Guitar Magazine (on History of Acoustic Rock) e ok naman daw ang Rolling Stones...ginagawa nila yung ginagawa ng Beatles kaya lang e 3 months later daw.

No offense meant sa mga Stones fans. Paborito ko din sila.

2. Beatles ang nagrekomenda sa Decca ng Rolling Stones.

3. Special guest si John Lennon (and Yoko Ono) sa Rolling Stones' Circus 1968. "Yer Blues" ang tinugtog ni John kasama si Clapton, Richards at Mitchell ng Jimi Hendrix Experience.

4. Guest din ang Rolling Stones sa music video ng Beatles' "All You Need Is Love."

5. "Their Satanic Majesties Request" ang sagot ng RStones sa "Sgt. Pepper's." Note: McCartney and Lennon provided backing vocals on "Sing This All Together.

6. Parehong nasa RStone Top 10 Singles of all time ang kanta nila: "Satisfaction (No. 2)" at "Hey Jude (No. 8)."

7. Pareho silang may albums sa  Top 10 ng RStone Top 500 albums of all tiime:
Beatles- Sgt. Pepper's #1,  Revolver #3, Rubber Soul #5 at White Album #10; Rolling Stones- Exile On Main St. #7.

The Ballad of John & Yoko

Only half the Beatles recorded this song. John played guitars (rhythm & lead) & lead vocals, Paul on drums, bass & backing vocals :-)

walang anuman bro.

Pepper's"... :-)  at malamang "Pet Sounds" ang number 1 album of all time sa Rolling Stone Top 500 albums...  :-)

Beatle drummers..

Peter Best.. original drummer

Richard Starkey.. aka Ringo Starr from Rory & the Hurricanes replaced Peter Best

Andy White.. the one chosen by George Martin since he is an experienced session drummer and more technical than Ringo. He was there when love me do was recorded, Ringo was allowed by George Martin to play the tamborine the whole day  but John didn't like the idea, he demanded to George to let Ringo play.

Jimmy Nichols .. he replaced Ringo who had his tonsils operated during their Australian Tour for few dates.. Ringo followed very soon

One of George's closest friends is Bob Dylan. Reportedly because Dylan cannot make it with Clapton, Macca, Ringo, Jeff Lynne et al..in the George Harrison tribute concert, he sang "something " ahead on Nov. 13 since the concert date for the tribute is Nov. 29
