Title: Starvox Speakers

Now that the name Starvox has been mentioned several times, I think it's just proper that we have a thread for those who have experienced using this local brand of speakers. Yes, they're made in Caloocan. Or used to be, at least.

I replaced one 10incher of my bassman ten with an SV 10incher. 350 bucks, but decent. I think I'll use them while I'm getting the stock one rewound.

how about you guys?

sir, ako din. pinalitan ko yung celestion ko baka kasi masira eh. medyo metal yung tugtugan. marshall lead 12 mini-halfstack ko siya nilagay.

350 lang. bibili ulit ako para sa extension cabinet. great low frequency response. nabawasan yung talim ng marshall. mukha naman matibay ayon sa speaker expert namin sa office.

palitan ko kaya yung blue marvel speakers ko ng starvox? hehe.. maganda ba talag yung tunog? pag clean maayos ba?

for me pede na, but i notice some break up when everything's on ten. could be my tubes or the speakers. but for 350, come on. its ok for that price.

sounds like a merger of an amp company and a coffee conglomerate gone wrong.

meron kayang 12" nito na pwede kong external speaker para sa Vox Pathfinder15r na 15w lang po?

sir, meron pong 12" sa deeco. 480 yata ang price niya. meron ding dai-ichi na 12" pero 700+ yata.

kaya lang 100-200w ang 12". kailangan ng preamp circuit para sa line out ikakabit. baka po kasi masunog yung amp circuit niyo kapag 12" ang ginamit niyo directly sa speaker out.

yung 10" 25w ang rating niya. pwede-pwede sa 15w na amp.

di  masisira yung amp when using a higher rated speaker. you may damaged the speaker instead kung lower power rated sya compared sa amp mo.

Ok naman, took it out of th Bassman when I had the stock speaker repaired. :) I'm getting an old broken tube amp for PA and will ask someone to mod it to a more guitar friendly version. :) Dun ko isasaksak yung Starvox.

FYI, the last time I asked Deeco, wala nang Starvox 10" speakers.

btw, ikaw lang ba mismo nagpalit ng speakers mo? is it as easy as naiisip ko? tanggalin lang yung pagkaka-solder ng + and - then kabit ng bago?

Yeah, did it myself. you dont have to desolder or solder anything. Speakers are attached using some sort of clip.

You might be lucky at Deeco, as mine was practically new old stock when I got them. Tanong mo baka meron pa sila sa bodega.

Got mine nos too. Possibly a 90's model bought last 2006. Still have mine. Still not rich. Still using the same amp. Still using the same gears.
