The Next Drum Gear You Must Have
« Reply #26 on: June 25, 2007, 02:50:47 PM »
Gear addicts!! Saving up for that new cymbal, pedal, sticks, case or whatever? Planning to add or replace something on your current setup? Surfing every known site for that particular item and drooling over the same pics every single day until you get it? Surfing Musicainsfriend wishing it was available here...and for the same low price converted to Peso? So what is the next gear that will satisfy your so-called GAS?

I need a Crash. I'm actually looking for a second-hand 16" to 18" Avedis or A Custom Medium Crash to use as my primary because right now, I'm using a Planet Z Hi-hat bottom!

I've also set my eyes on the Gibraltar Avenger Double Pedals.

A bit OT: I was in JB earlier, and I saw cheap Gibraltar Doupeds. It was 1.5k cheaper (Only 7.1k before discounts) than the 5611DB Prowler, and didn't have the signature Rock Plate. Also, it was Strap Drive! First, the weird 6607 Hi-hat Stand Footboard, and now this. It's not even in Gibraltar's Site yet...
Pinoydrums Lanyard - North distribution THIS SUNDAY, 2PM, TMS Alimall!

Look for thrones that you have to turn or rotate in order for it to raise up or down.
Much much better and stable than the ones with o ring locks... pareho tayong mabigat. hehehe

I use the Gibraltar 9608VA, and I think this is your best bet... check it out on the web...

I have an almost 300lb friend who uses it and never slid once..(threaded post also + saddle type pa in velvet/leather)
Dindin is right go for the ones with the threaded post so it won't slide easily

As for my must have's, simple lang for me..
2pcs. Pearl Uni-lock tom arms and Pearl 10" resonant head lang masaya na ako.. :-D
but not anytime soon I'm looking into a new Pearl snare..

Nice thread bro Sparkfly..

20% off gibraltar ngayon kaya ang laki ng ibinaba.

so naenganyo ako bumili ng 4 rack clamps nung sunday pero mali ang pricing jb. the clamp was priced at 588 sa website at sa display pero nung binayaran ko na naging 865 each daw so nagcancel ako. sa lazer na lang ako bibili kasi mas makakatipid pa rin ako ng 500 kahit nakasale na sa jb.

to jb: pricing guys, fix your pricing

OT na tayo pero I agree! More courtesy naman. Sometimes, they act like parang ayaw nila makabenta eh. Siguro it's just me pero I find Yupango staff to be more friendly. I just don't like their prices. Hehe. Yamaha brand drumsets are really good and are not that expensive in other countries. Pero dito... hehe. Sayang...

It would be nice if you'll get the Branch and the salesman para maireport yan. Ako kasi tagal kona bumibili sa JB ala pakong na encounter na hassle sa mga tao nila. Well that's in JB megamall ewan ko sa iba.

Hehe oo nga..Sorry for the OT  but the way I see it since this thread is "The Next Drum Gear You Must Have" and JB music is on of the major product players in the country it could be quite related and beneficial for some to be informed about acquiring their gear from dis-respectfull sources..

bihira kasi sa Pilipinas ang motto na "the customer is King"..hehe! :-D

@Sandy
based from personal experience and from the feedback of JB from previous threads here at Pinoydrums SM NE is one of the worst.. :-P

Ok pa nga talaga sa Megamall..madali kausap yung mga tao and attentive..

^^^probably because most of their attendants are musicians too..they get jealous with fellows who can afford to GAS while scorn those who dont! :-P  :-P

Same with some attendants in Tomlee, they would not mind you when you come in; instead, they will show off their chops on electronic drumkits, but will only attentively approach you once you test-play some instruments....only to ask if you are really gonna buy something..*uck those kids! pffbt!!  :-P

The only good thing there is-----

Me: Can i borrow some sticks to test this electronic drum?
Tom Lee : Sure

Nagipon ako ng $700 for my Tom Lee GAS pero Vic Firth Leather Bag lang nabile ko. Nagkataong katatapos lang ng sale nila eh. Badtrip!!! Gusto ko pa naman sana nung TAMA BUBINGA Snare!!!
