Anybody, tried Gravity Storm and Crunch Lab combo? Naghahanap ako ng ipapalit sa RG721 ko. Gusto ko talaga G.S. sa neck.

In my opinion, G. Storm neck is not that bright. Andami lang talagang neck models ng dimarzio ang muddy <_<

Same here. Hindi siya bright for me. Medyo kinabahan nga ako nung una kong ipinalagay. Eni, fat yung tone na parang may single coil bite. Gusto ko sa kanya e klaro pa rin kahit high gain na settings. Dinig mo bawat note. Hmmm iniisip ko lang kung anong magandang ipares sa bridge. Any suggestions sir Mark? Thanks!

^ for bridge pup, I liked it paired w/ tone zone. (RG1570)

Try the "Area" series

Sana may magdemo on a Les Paul with a Marshall. PG sounds like PG on anything. Parallel pa wiring nya ng humbuckers.

Since I'm after that Dream Theater - Awake 7-string tone, I got these:

They'll replace the Crunch Lab 7 and Liquifire 7s. Retracting the guitar again. LOL

AFAIK, he only did the parallel wiring thing with his Super Distortions, and shifted to full series humbucking after the PAF pros came out. Don't count on me with this one but the pickups do sound like they were wired in series for the demo.

for those who have tried both Air Norton and Liquifire, what's your thoughts on both of its tone? like which one is warmer sounding, less harsh, and glassy clean tone.  :?

Mas maganda liquifire. Mas malaman and fluid. But if warmer na in a sense darker, air norton..

+1

Never liked the Air Norton. Too stiff sounding.. Liquifire has really nice cleans and I agree with it being "fluid".  :-D
