hmmm mukang ok ah. im buying the fuji x10 next week at parang mas maganda yung s100 at least based on specs. can you give me your reason why you choose the s100 over any of the popular models? besides of course if you already are a canon user hehehe


EDIT: im sticking with the x10. deal breaker sa s100 yung kawalan ng flash hotshoe at yung 15 sec na shutter speed nya

I am a NikOn guy bro, and am waiting for the replacement of the d300s, so habang wala pa, compact muna ko for convenience.

It took me a week of research, and trying my friend's cameras, the sony nex, canon g12, lx5 and nikon p7100.

Though the s100 is slow and focusing isn't that great, i still bought it due to image quality. Can't be happier, a lot of reviews in youtube agree as well.

s95 has been great, so i'm sure this won't fail me. So far, im satisfied, though i'll try long exposures next week tsaka na rin yung built in hdr mode nya.

s100 or x10? for me i go for x10 all the way,  i love the retro look/feel, gwapong gwapo    it has optical view finder, flash hot shoe, fast focus and more controls though s100 is really compact and mas mura, so for low budget, better IQ and compact camera, go for s100. for gwapo look and the specs above go for x10

almost bought the x10 at glorietta today but something is missing...it didnt feel right in my hands and my initial enthusiasm just turned to meh. the pana g3 looks and feels right to me. maghihintay na lang muna ko ng GAS attack at medyo nawalan ako ng gana kanina hehehe

maganda ng lx5 bro... but if you want a smaller pocketable compact, i suggest you look at the canon s95 or s100.

When I go back..Im going to switch to a compact camera na a better one...I switched to a cheapo HP since I broke a few Good Sony's but, using a cheapo cam is damn frustrating and the results are just so so...I seldom bring my DSLR since its kinda heavy and nowadays Im not that excited in shooting anymore..Id rather have a nice comfy enjoyable walk in a ew place or city..with just a a good compact cam in my pocket than lugging heavy DSLR gear...

I also noticed the DSLR fad in the Philippines and the SUper Paranoia of security guards with people taking photos especially with DSLRs thats why I lost the mood to shoot..though I must admit there are lots nice things to shoot..pero lahat laging may bayad..pffft...no wonder tourism aint booming..go around asia even china..you could walk for hours with your dslr on your neck and you wont get hassled..anyway...I plan to leave my gear here and just purchase a better compact cam when I get back..quite excited about it..

I do have the occasional GAS for Camstuff pero mas nahihigitan siya ng Guitar Gas ko...for the price of an Nikor 18-200 lens Id rather get me a nicely built electric with P90's...more satisfaction and fun...

mismo bro... i remember nung nagshoot kame sa may MOA, binawalan kame agad ng guard, sobrang strict... mas ok pa mamicture sa provice, sa mga bukirin 

good thing here in Singapore, kahit saan pwede ka kumuha, sobrang laki kase ng tourism dito, sobrang inaalagaan talaga mga bisita...

nice shots! I have tons of shots in my hard drive and have 3 backups for my photos.I treasure my photos..will try to post dito..I made a photowall once..where I chose all my favorite shots and had it printed..and posted it all randomly sa window..parang photo curtain..hahaha..will try to post some old shots..hassle kasi kailangan ko pa i-upload sa Photobucket then attach dito..kaya ang tagal..haha..there was even this nice nature tourist spot na nagtake advantage sa mga photographer ..2000 pesos camera corkage pag may DSLR at pumasok sa place na yun..damn..Ive had my share of sita-sita..even just by shooting paintings i like done by Botong Francisco hanging sa PGH..kahit nga UST pag di ka nakauniform..at nagshoshoot ka paghihinalaan ka na may gagawing masama..Im really sick of this culture of distrust and fear sa pinas...haaaay.....eh pano ba naman look at this guy na nanamntala sa isang forumite just now the guy from negros..laking hassle yun..paano ka pa magtitiwala sa mga tao na nagbebenta  dito.. dapat 200% vigilant ka to deal...never experienced that in Shanghai where I bought and met lots of musikeros from all over the world selling their gear.....bummer...
