Title: HELP!!! Time constraints RUIN our gig last night!!

Hirap pala ng ganun, ung sobrang pressure sa time e nakakawala ng concentration.

It happened to me last night sa 70's Bistro.
Front act kami sa Moonstar 88 & Kamikazee.

Call time is 9 pm, me and the lead guitarist arrive around 8:50 pm.

And we're supposed to setup na for the front act gig, pero our bassist and vox are not yet around.

So we have to wait for them.

Finallly around 9:45 pm they arrived and the prod said to render just 3 songs (instead of 6), due to time constraints, kasi me 2 major bands pa na tutugtog.

So mabilisan sa setup, we didnt even got the chance to have a sound check, pati ung drums di ko na rin napalitan ng cymbals. And didnt even have the time to tune some parts.

Tapos nung nag start na kami parang ang bigat nung feeling ko, my hands and feet are not coordinated, parang humihiwalay sila.

Pati ung mga kasama ko dami rin sabit.  In short, medyo nagkalat kami kagabi...kakahiya hehe.

What advise could u give me to avoid this incident?

Have a strick time schedule for your band. Meaning when you say 8:30 all must be, then 8:30 everybody must be there. Disadvantage yan kung lagi kayong late, wag kayong umasa sa Filipino time, always be early. When you're early, all of you can set your mind properly to the gig at hand. Hope that helped...

Salamat Sir,

Yup, I think being punctual is a more professional approach sa mga gigs.

Its a lesson learned para sa amin.

Ngayon lang kasi kami na-late sa gig, last Monday 8 pm nandun na ako, then ung mga kasama ko maaga din nun.

Kaya yung tugtog namin last Monday is very very good, sarap tumugtog nun, and gamit ko pa kit ni Sir Dindin nun.

Thanks ulit, its a lesson I won't forget.

ganyan din kami dati.... pero tandaan niyo lang... kahit anong mangyari stick pa din kayo sa 2g2gan.... kaylangan ng professionalism sir.... kahit anung badtrip niyo before the gig dapat once na tumungtong ka ng stage wala na lahat yun...
