Rehearsal studio bad/sad experience
« on: August 19, 2015, 01:50:48 PM »
Anybody here tried rehearsing at Transmetal studio in caloocan? Just want to share our very bad experience. We had no choice but to rent their chipipay studio coz of time constraints. We were just playing new wave songs, toto, etc. Unfortunately, our drummer broke the snare skinnyowards the end. The owner (Ver) is charging us 600petot for the breakage. Lumitone is the brand of snare skin that got broken. We all know then that for that brand of skin, his price is not fair. The very sad part of the story was when he told us these words. How dare him to say those words in front of us. Renowned and seasoned sessionplayers but i won't mention their names. He wanted us to leave our instruments for his assurance that we'll get back to him to replace his so called expensive skin. Then we got back to him and gave him our remo head as a replacement. He kept on insisting his words " matagal na akong musikero at marami na akong na set up-an na companies kaya alam na alam ko yan". Sabi nung kasama ko, "talaga? Eh ba't di ka namin kilala?" Then paguwi ko nalaman ng anak ko. They had the same experience when they broke a string at pinapalitan daw sa kanila ng 1 whole new set of strings. What an amazing studio he has!!

We've got no prob with his rules.

Soon after that, bookings dropped like flies, lumipat lahat sa Auditions at Circus.

P.S. They tried to charge me damages for the already-severely cracked dry ride they had (it looked a lot like a Fierce Ride to me). no fcking way I'd pay for that.

I remember this one experience I had with a rehearsal studio within the Manila vicinity. Hindi nagsabi yun bantay/may-ari na time's almost up at last song na (which most of the rehearsal studio peeps do).
