i think as most people would say...there is no right or wrong answer to your question. depends on the preference of the user.

for me, i put my fuzz pedal at the last of the drive/dirt pedals chain and right before the modularion, delay and reverb pedals.

Muff lovers, if you had to choose between the Walrus Audio Jupiter or the Wren and Cuff tall font Russian, which would you get and why?

It's interesting to have to listen to fuzz boxes and match them with the right amps too.

It appears my Audio Walrus Contraband only plays well with my Vox AC10 and the EHX Soul Food stacked as a boost, while the EHX Little Big Muff stacked with a TS9 for boost responds well with the Friedman Runt 20.

Never thought I'd have to use the Little Big Muff or the TS9 that was gathering dust in the closet for a few years now.

Fuzzes are definitely finicky pedals. In my case, I could never get my Sunface to play consistently everywhere but when it does match up, it's awesome.

Germanium fuzzes have to be first after your guitar. And even when first, won't match up well if your guitar has active pickups or '50's wiring.

Mas mahal kasi Wren and Cuff, but I've heard the lengths they went through to faithfully
replicate the tall font. On YouTube naman, I saw how bassy the Jupiter was compared to others.
I don't want to lug around my green Russian Muff cause it's heavy as hell and the paint just flakes off.
