Dude, maybe its not vertigo, its somethign else, I have the same symptoms like you. At first I thought it was vertigo cause I felt like theres this spinning sensation and somewhat losing my balance. I tried many ENT's and other doctors, but the results were disapppointing. There was this time when I felt this numbness feeling in my body in whcih I thought I was giong to faint. Because of this condition, I refrained myself from driving, and I felt very weak and helpless.
So I went to this neurologist (also a neuro-phsychaitrist), he analyzed my symptoms and he was able to give some meds (maintenance though) and so far I feel great! The vertigo thing that haunted me before is gone, however I still have to take that maintenance medicines though.
By the way, he classified my condition as "ANXIETY DISORDER" and those numbness and dizziness and headaches that you are experiencing is called "ANXIETY ATTACKS".
Well thats based on my perspective, and on experience. I hope this helps your problem dude....
