pahingi ng tulong, -blues beginner

mga kuya, parang stranded na kasi ako sa pentatonic at tska mga blue notes eh.. nakakajam naman ako sa mga tugtog nila clapton, b.b. king, hilden.. pero ano kaya maganda pag-aralan sunod para may progress naman.. tnx  :?

try studying modes and apply them in your jamming tracks.

sir hindi naman talaga ako gumagamit ng jamming tracks, just the original recordings or live ones. what do you mean by modes? tnx!

mejo may kahirapan lang ng onti i-apply at intndhin sa umpisa. search for videos in youtube regarding these and eventually you'll get the hang of it

Jep, all i can suggest. follow your emotion. kahit 2 or 3 notes lang, pede nanag maging blues. if you know your pentatonics, sepecially the minors, just follow what scales they fall and feel the need to put them in what place at the right time. remember, hendrix, clapton, bb king and other oldies, did not study theory. they just went with the "feel" on what scaling they know..

if they can do it, you can too!!

salamat sir.. mejo nagsisimula pa lang ako ngayon kay jimi eh. I mean matagal ko na siya pinapakinggan pero lately lang ako nangahas na try matutunan songs niya. nainspire ako una sa little wing. Pero pag may time talaga ako as in time isisiksik ko sa panahon ko aralan ung mga modes na yun. =]

kung master mo na pentatonic, try mo dorian mode, halos malapit lang application nun sa minor chords...

i thought blues was out of emotional feeling and getting the feel of what you're playing that falls on the right note? is it now all technical? mmmmm... i have reached 40 years old playing the blues, as far as i remembered, it wasn't technical.. oh well, to each of his own..

Ok talaga si sir the_nong. I agree, talagang it's on the feel talaga. Pero wala naman ako balak magpakatechnical talaga, baka sakali lang na may makakatulong o makakapalawak ng kaalaman para mas maexpress ang...alam mo na. hehe. Natry ko yung dorian pero nalilito ako, hinayaan ko na lang, pag pakiramdam ko makakatulong ipinapasok ko, shoot naman. haha

oh well, dapat talaga hindi lumamang yung pagkatechnical sa blues.
