Drum recording in garage band

I started fooling around with garage band with my iPad,
Can I record with individual mikes with just using my iPad and mikes?
Syempre may mixer dapat,hehe,is it feasible? Sorry I'm a little noob in recording.
I'm just starting to record with zoom iq5 with my iPad,and just checking the angles
Of the mike and also try to balance my groove as well.

mahihirapan ka bro kung ipad lang. best setup na naiisip ko is using an APOGEE Quartet. para 4 XLR inputs ka. 2 mics for overhead, tapos one for snare, one for bass drum.

kung iQ5 kasi, XY stereo condenser ka lang niyan. di mo masyado mahuhuli in detail yung whole kit.

Sige I check ko nga yan trigger na yan hehehe.pwede ba isub yung midi sounds sa mga one shots na recorded na?
May friend ako na may mga one shot drum sounds NA,gawin ko yun ang sounds ko instead of the midi.
At concern ko kasi at ang pinaka important sakin e dynamics.huhu

ang downside sa iq5, you cant record more than 2 channels at once. kung serious ka, invest ka na agad sa 8 channel interface. its cheaper than you think.

Reaper din ako. Switched from audition. Sobrang resources hog si audition. Bagal. Pangit oa ng midi editing interface.

try mo sa likod or harap ang mic instead na OH para mas balanse yung kick. Mas malayo mas balanse pero mas roomy din ang tunog. XY din sya kasi na fixed (tama ba?) pero ayos sana kung isang OH right above the center of the snare o kaya sa likod mo 4:30 position higher than the ride nakatutok sa snare; tapos isang kick mic.

Also, REAPER FTW  I hated Audition's interface.

Pwede mo rin naman gawan ng MIDI gamit mouse or keyboard pero super tiyagaan lang, tapos ang dynamics mo manual!!  yung humanize kasi sobrang random naman, unless may automation ako na hindi alam

May napatunguhan ako sa reaper na hindi nagbabasa ng manual,hahahah! Audition parang
Gusto ko magwala sa stress,ang hirap.

As of now ok ang practice ko with recording with click.iniisip ko lang yung latency sa iPad,hehe
Wala pako space sa room na for ok na recording,will experiment more.
And yes stereo condenser na xy ang iq5. Babasahin ko manual ng reaper!

download mo yung sheffield drum recordings sa torrent. there are several. listen to it and emulate the space, clarity and the pressure into your own recording.
