I used to own and play a Rolling Glide Iron Cobra double pedal.  This model has a concentric cam, which means, the cam (the sprocket where the chain travels) has a circular profile.  If you look at the pedal on its side view, you'll notice that the cam is round and it is mounted on its center.  Because of that, the pedal offers a uniform response.  Based on my experiences, I enjoyed the smooth, even response of the Rolling Glide model.

Meanwhile, the Power Glide model's cam is mounted off-set, meaning, it's cam is mounted off-center.  Because of the off-set mounting, the distance travelled by the beater/chain/footboard mechanism becomes shorter, and there's more speed and power compared to a concentric cam pedal.  So if you're a drummer who needs to take advantage of quicker and more powerful pedal footwork, the Power Glide model can become very helpful.  I've tried a Power Glide model, and for me it feels easier nailing down those faster bass drum licks.

Both Power Glide and Rolling Glide (and the Flexi Glide) offer virtually the same features.  The differences among these three models are its cam systems and drive systems (chain or belt).

The concentric cam is somehow the standard cam design for modern drum pedals, kaya most likely concentric cam nga yung Gibraltar pedal mo (correct me guys if I'm wrong).

Talaga, napanuod mo yung gig namin sa Tiendesitas?  Sana nagpakita ka sa akin hehe!  Thanks for the props!  :-)

oonga siguro standard ang structure ng gibraltar ped. ill try din muna to research on the elims peds, since interchangeble and cams nito.

yup bro, trip ko ngyn mga drummer mga groove base ng drummers, tasteful drumming, mnaglalagay lng kung kylangan.. k-church ko rin si christian ung bassist nyo b4 kaso taga ibang chapter siya. COOL.

Yeah, check mo yung Eliminator pedals ng Pearl.  Check out their different cams.  I think Pearl's cam explanations can help you become more familiar with how cams influence the feel and performance of pedals.

I'm using a Pearl Eliminator double pedal right now.  I made a review of it in my blogsite.  Click mo na lang yung link sa blog ko (on my siggy) then look for it under the Reviews section.

Ka-church mo pala si Ian.  Small world!

The Iron Cobra is Tama's top-of-the-line series of pedals.

The Iron Cobra Jr. is the mid-level model.  It doesn't have most of the high-end Iron Cobra's high-tech features.

Check out all the details here --- http://www.tama.com/drums/tama_link.asp?page=http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/world/products/hardware/pedal/index.html .

Rolling glide - Concentric cam. Round-shaped cam delivers a smooth, uniform attack of beater to bass drumhead.
Power glide - Offset cam. Nautilus-shaped cam delivers an accelerating attack of beater to bass drumhead.

@peeves24 - :-) my friend is actually thinking of getting the pearl eliminators so i've told him about the different cams included. im using the power glide at the moment though.

guys, would you know kung pwede ba mabili separately yung Cobra Coil? it seems na sa rolling glide pa lang available to pero baka pwede ring ikabit sa power/flexi glide.
