Nice chainsaw HC, definitely one of the more heavy duty cases fr Gibson LP. I have the same one too. What generation is it? Sirain nga lang yung lock with those types lalo na yung plastic locks. But a solid case nonetheless.

thanks, bro. chainsaw hard case pala tawag dun? ngayon ko lang nalaman. hindi ko nga ma-describe pag may nagtatanong eh. yup sirain nga yung locks, cracked na yung isa. problem with this case also is that it is so bulky not like the other gibson cases that's why i bought an skb case. 80's model nga pala sya.

thanks, bro. chainsaw hard case pala tawag dun? ngayon ko lang nalaman. hindi ko nga ma-describe pag may nagtatanong eh. yup sirain nga yung locks, cracked na yung isa. problem with this case also is that it is so bulky not like the other gibson cases that's why i bought an skb case. 80's model nga pala sya. 

oo chainsaw tawag jan, makes sense naman kahit papano hehe.. kay Filippo ko nga lang din nalaman yan kasi I bought mine from him hehe. Parang 70's or 80's mdl ata un akin. kasi may 3 or 4 versions yan, yun mga earlier ones are smaller and the latter ones are bulky daw parang acoustic gtr case ang laki.

sought after by collectors din kasi uber tibay ang pagkagawa, except the locks hahaha.

mabigat nga din, bakal ang yari nya sa loob after the hard plastic or whatchamacallit na materials ginamit sa case...kasi ginawan ko ng makeshift lock un akin para maclose ko. So i drilled screws and push and reglued the foam interior.

does your case fully closes kahit di nakalock? un akin kasi mejo bukas e. natatakot akong ipush harder inside yun gtr baka madali un neck.

yup it fully closes naman. problema ko nga lang talaga is yung plastic na pinagkakabitan ng metal latches, nag crack na kasi. sinubukan namin i-glue ni micsis kaso bumigay pa din. kaya ayun naka stock lang sa bahay kasi yung skb na gamit ko.

@Van, nice take on the Gold Reflector knobs, man! Is it more of an Amber-Yellow-ish or Amber-Orange-ish on close and personal, first hand look? It's no-brainer tho that the lights sometimes affect the color!

I was aiming for the Slash/Gary Moore look too, I saw a Slash AFD model but I was surprised to see it having poor flames and mediocre top, it looked liked photo-flame from my perspective (a mere veneer would look even better than that guitar I have seen) Well, that's just me.

Anyhow, yours got prominent flames and great 3D effect and I would suggest an amber tip to go with the color. Yours Looks like a Guitar Of the Week or a special run, so I guess they must have place a premium top on it!

Here's my Gibsons. 1995 Les Paul Classic Premium Plus and 1994 Gibson SG Standard (sold already). I owned a few from Gibson LP Studio, to plain top Honeyburst Standard, to 70's Custom and a nighthawk special. But this one will stay as I am a sucker for the flames!
