Hindi ako naggig, and I have zero experience playing music at venues
but I do have a couple of tips that can help you
If you wanna start small, and for the experience, look for open mic nights at bars and restaurants. Only prepare your originals and maybe one cover.
Also try to have live recordings and burn it onto a CD, bring it in a flash drive and your phone. By live I don't mean get a bar gig and record it, or grab your phone and record a set at home. At the very least have a friend with a decent studio-quality mic record your performance for you, or book some time in a small studio. you never know who you bump into, maybe a local prod, maybe even someone who just wants you to play at a party. at least may demo ka agad kung wala kang gitara. I always have a couple of my home recordings in my phone, and in some random days I'd meet people who are interested in my work so bato ko lang sa bluetooth (may isa nga dancer nagtuturo sa company xmas party gusto nila ako mag-DJ para sa kanila, nagdecline naman ako hindi ako DJ eh
). always be prepared, and your work is your best contact card as a musician
