Crash of doom crashable ride siya! Hahahahaha

Kay vhinming na k/z hats niya, not bad for 8k!

Yup HHx at ha sabians ako,Tama sa papi Ralph, and it projects louder.so panalo pero
Grabe naman kasi prices ng sabians dito at di masyado marami variety at magsusingit pa nagbebenta

Paps sonic, hand hammered un kasi based sa hammering niya it's inconsistent.
Hand hammering na Lang yung later process, kaya yung k con na hats is to die for, wala nako pera!
Hahahaha!

blasphemy! nasa zildjian thread tayo  :-D

May nagbebenta ng 13"K/Z dito for 7.5K pero nabili na. sayang wala sa acquisition plan ko ngayon eh. but yes, especially compared to the current crop of K and K Customs, HH/HHX talaga. I really like how the new HHX Omnis sound on record. Pero BTT: 22" K Heavy Ride talaga. Dark and dry enough to be a K, enough ping and wash like an aged A.

ako nakabili nun. kung gusto mo, i'll give it for 7k, its 1st generation, much older than vinming's. nothing wrong with it. its just my taste is different now. i bought it because i was being nostalgic of its chick sound but i realized i like fast and crisp hats now.

eto sya vs my 12" remix

that early DMB hi hat sound = K/Z hats. sobrang elibs sakin yun!

And took home a pair of new beats! Hahaha, lumang logo. The new logo of zildjian
A is getting a little worse. The new logo a new beat sounds like a different hihat.
It doesn't have that qualities anymore with the old version of new beats.
Crashes doesn't sing that much anymore, ang nagustuhan ko na Lang sa new logo version
E sweet ride brilliant,it sounds like the traditional finish old logo sweet ride with louder ping
Hehe.pero crash of doom pa din akoooo! Hahaha.

yup, ewan ko kung nacompromise yung secret alloy na yun, pero it all depends on the ears, hehe
meinl and developed the byzance series tapos umalis siya at gumawa ng sariling company, hehe.

I don't know about you guys, but I think the 2013 A's with the new logo are killer. My thin crash 18" goes great with all my early 70s A's.

hehe, paps its just based on what we hear, syempre we have different taste in cymbals.
first i really love the a customs then gravitated with some a ziljdian,i loved bright sounds.
then a few years back i began to appreciate darker tones. now i want trashy dark sounds
hybrid k customs now are very bright to my ears. :-D
simon phillips still loves the new a logos cymbals. so i respect that. if you love what you hear then go for it sir. :-D
its your personal taste. :)

quick beats are less choked than k/z but it will be better if you can test side by side before you make a decision.

I just came from JB Trinoma, which received a set of Zildjian Keropes this morning. We took the cymbals out of their wrappers and set them up on the demo drum set. The set is composed of 18”, 19”, 20” and 14” hats. They have no types (crash, ride, etc) and only have weights in grams written under the bell. They are a shade browner than the usual B20s, and fingerprints don’t show.

They sound very different from anything else I have heard from American Zildjians. They sound less bright but with more “body” than regular Ks, K Customs, and K Cons. The bells are tiny, and the profile is relatively shallow. They are not loud, but are very complex. Foreign reviews say that they are very inconsistent. So trying before buying is essential. If you find one that sings to you, get it immediately.

The 19” was too stiff for my taste, and did not open up too much. The 18” was nice and mellow, with more dark complexity than the K Con next to it. The hihat was special. It’s like what you hear in oldskool lo-fi samples used in HipHop. If I had a rap or traditional jazz gig, this would be perfect. But the star of this set was the 20”. It was 1836gms, which would make it about medium thin. It rides like a vintage Turkish K, crashes like the surf hitting the shore, opens up beautifully with mallets, and the bell has a gentle but rich ping. If I was forced to use only one cymbal, this would be it.

They are so new that JB have no prices yet. AFAIK, Keropes are slightly cheaper than K Cons in the US. But the guys in JB think they will be more expensive. I’ll have to save A LOT to afford one of these by Christmas.

I read somewhere that the new Kerope line can sound like the old K Zildjians. I wonder how true it is. And also still not sure if it actually involves actual hand hammering

I think it's something like that, pero the price is also sky high, hehe.
Can't wait for my crash of doom! Hahaha
Heard of the Kerope line too. Sound great for me. May price range na ba paps?

Ahaha! Mas fresh kidney ko sir! 28 year old, hehehe
But the 18 is killer! 19 is nice but not for my taste,20 is a beast!
Hats 14 is for my taste, more versatile,15 doesn't respond to my foot that well but
It's nice for some fat grooves ala Steve Jordan. Chunky hihat. :-o

Saw them over the weekend...surprisingly walang mga fingerprint nung hinawakan ng staff, he said that's one of the characteristics of the Kerope, the crash sounded almost similar to a mehmet sultan, how do i describe it? mas "turkish"?
