Of course John! Pero di pa complete ang players. Masters
Jim (drums) and Anton (guitar) has signified, along with some others but only konkreteingk (vocals) has confirmed for Monday.
No bass player yet so it must be you!

I'll still wait for confirmations before I reserve a slot, but by then it might be too late.

When's your gig (and where)?

wow is this the same group the had a couple of originals being played sa rj am/fm? one song was the name of the band, and the othe was "ulan".

The title of the song of Paztillan is "Kasagutan" while the song "Tag-Ulan" was done by The Boys/Joey Maurillo. Theses songs are still being played in RJ Underground Radio 105.9 FM  during the Pinoy Rock Show every sunday....

monday is too soon but doable. consider this a "rough" jam.

do it again (Gm7 stanza)
reelin' in the years  D- A/C#-Bm7-A (stanza chords)

Sige, Wendell. Will try my best to do a rough cifra para may porma yung kanta. Hope di ako mapahiya sa inyo. But if Tinnie is around to play bass, back to the gallery ako. Wala pa kaming sked for a gig. Don't know if Mari is already back from Canada.

okay please confirm on this thread if you are going either whole heartedly or 1/2 heartedly :)
before saturday if possible. its just a jam folks. no expectations as long as there is a semblance of a rhythm section it would be great.
over to you Wendel.

Geeks lang talaga ang tingin ko kela Walter Becker and Donald Fagen.

Panoorin niyo yung link na nakalakip.  Even in this parody video, The Eagles thought that Steely Dan were geeks.  Panoorin niyo na lang yung buong serye ng Yacht Rock.  Kakatawang halo ng comedy tsaka VH1's Behind The Music.

Also back on topic:  like I mentioned at another messageboard, My Old School has got to have one of the best guitar solos ever executed...aside from those fantastic horn parts.

They'll be touring the US again this summer too.

Is Monday June 9 4-6Pm at Gig Studios in Cubao fine with you?

Ok, but we'll need John or Tinnie to play bass, otherwise no bottom on FM!

Teka, for Reeling in the Years are you learning the original version or the 21st century live remake they started doing with Alive in America?

Yup, I've got tickets to their NYC show at the Beacon theatre the weekend of June 20th.  Uy, them boys will be playing in the outskirts of Toronto in July.  Hmmmmm......

i think its somewhere in ermin garcia, behind nepa q. market. and using
philmusic's search function, somebody posted this in a thread.

"joopabs:
onga, naging 285 na nga ung rates ng pipeline. if you want a cheaper studio, almost same lng ng gamit sa pipeline, try nyo ung gig music studio, un nga lang it's located sa looban ng cubao. their rate is 150/hr. this is their # 09183370763."

Gig studios reserved 4-6 pm Monday. It's in Ermin Garcia (side street of Nepa Qmart) right beside the big Church. Note that it has no sign, you'll just notice that there are lots of cars parked in front of the carinderia on the G/F. It's on the 3rd floor, a little spartan but nevertheless complete (and cheap too).

Going north from EDSA, turn right at New York (at the corner is BDO _Equitable) just after Baliwag transit. Turn left on any good road and you'll cross Ermin Garcia.

Just concluded the jam.  John,Wendel, Nonoy, Kedy, Jun, Jim and Konkretaink came, saw and conquered. Because this was the 1st time, and we're still trying to find out common songs, we were able to jam the following:
  FM
  Deacon Blues
  Do it Again
  Rikki Don't Lose that Number

In various stages of completion:
  Peg
  Pretzel Logic
  Reeling in the Years
  Josie

We now have something that we can play, and next time we can concentrate on cleaning up our acts.  Sorely missed were Tinnie and Anton.
