Nakita ko yang Tele niyo dati nung nakay upfront pa. Dibs din ako jan dati eh. Hahaha! Actually, yan rin yung basis ko sa pagpapagawa kay sir Mike ng pickguard. Pinaship ko lang kasi itong pickguard ng tele ko. Sabi ko kay sir Mike, pang Bill Lawrence tele, baka kagaya nung kay taoistguitarist ang sukat. Hahaha! Pagdating, saktong sakto.

From what i've seen, swak measurements ng American standard tele pickguards sa Bill lawrence japan.

I'm actually thinking of ordering a mint green guard

Thanks for the info. Now I know. Tinanong kasi ako ni sir mike kung pang MIA or MIJ na tele pickguard. Hahaha. Hindi ko talaga alam kung ano yung sa Bill Lawrence. Kaya nireference ko nalang yung sa iyo bro. Hihi. Salamat.

I've recently got a new Epi plus top pro and find that the glossy finish is not my thing. So i brought my guitar to sir mike's shop to do the following

- Matte spray finish all over the body including the veneer top, yes you've heard it including the veneer top ( heavy breathing but i really wanted to do this, this guitar isn't even 1 month old

)
- wetsand neck ( satin finish neck, not sure paano nila lilihain pero lets see )
- bone nut / setup

Excited to see the outcome. will it be yey! or nay!? haha

Updates!!

Here's the pictures before and after the process. SOBRANG Galing ng pagkakagawa ni sir mike, hands down. So much better than i expected.

- The veneer grains can now be seen much more.
- The amber / dark orange color pops up.
- The satin neck finish feels great to play.

I have this new Tele project with Mike.

Sometime last year, I purchased a Wilkinson trem from a member here in PM (which I ended up reselling LOL). He gave me a Tele body that he acquired from GuitarSalon, which previously accommodated the Wilkinson trem, for FREE because he said he did not have any use for it anymore. The Tele body was routed to accommodate said trem and a humbucker on the bridge. I kept the Tele body for several months, not knowing what to do with it. Then sometime late last year, I had the idea of making it into a backup guitar.

I brought the Tele body to Mike's. It was then I found out that the measurements of the body were wrong and the routs were off if one would compare it to a standard Tele body. So I asked Mike and the gang to plug all the cavities left by the Wilkinson trem and to re-rout everything according to standard specs. I then also bought a neck from another forumer here in PM.

Too bad I don't have the "before" pics, but here are the pics as of today (1/19/2015):

Here you can see the Stripsol eating away the previous paint job.

You can see the plugging and re-routing made on the body after the paint was scraped off.

Here's the back of the body. You can see the plugging made on the trem cavity.

I asked that the Tele body be refinished to Fiesta Red. I'll post updates on this project here as it progresses.

Vouching for Mike's work on Acoustic Guitars, Bass Guitars, and Guitars with Bigsby Trems

Mike's work on my acoustic was exceptional. He definitely revived that guitar from the horror that was done by the previous luthier who handled my acoustic.

He also revived a beatup bass guitar which I got dirt cheap.

definitely coming back. Mike will definitely be my go-to luthier from now on. thumbs up for you sir mike!

Sana magkaroon ng ibang branch ang MICSIS specifically in Quezon City.. Sir Mike deserves his customer's praises..Mahusay talaga gumawa, sila nakaayos ng wiring ng EMG SA Set ko after ko kunin sa dating pinagpagawaan ko na antagal dun natengga within an hour lang nayari na nila.. sulit ang byahe ko from Fairview to Sucat.. Mura na sulit pa.. Dun na din ako mag papaset up.. idol Micsis!!! mabuhay kayo..

Salamat pala sa strat bridge sir Mike ang ganda ng nascore ko sa inyo mura pa..

I feel the passion ng MICSIS.. unlike others na business ang passion..

May narinig din akong customer nya na nagsabi na sana magkaroon ng reality show si Sir Mike.. Good idea, siguradong maraming manonood nun.. Parang guitar whisperer hehehe..
