I've been running around 13 years na rin. I tried to run all of the categories except 42km and short distances below 10km. Nagsimula talaga ako 10 km na and goal ko lagi na mapababa ko ang oras ko. Last run ko is last Milo national finals (Dec 2010 and my official time on 10k is 39mins). Sa 21km naman, last na takbo ko is Milo national finals (Dec 2009) and I clocked in 1hour and 55minutes.

I don't want to be a [sausage] here pero sadly, ginawa nang negosyo ng ilan ang sport na ito. Pero okay lang naman yung iba, beneficial run naman. Kaya ako, dun ako sa mura sumasali eh (Milo, Manila Marathon and QC). Para kasing magbabayad ka ng mahal tapos mapapagod ka lang.. ako ang ginagawa ko, nakikitakbo na lang ako sa mga running events with my friends ( who registered). Parang practice na lang.. iwas gastos lang.. hehe   :wink:

This year, I planned to run 42 km pero nainjured ako during practice kaya hindi natuloy. Sayang ang preparation at buti inde pa ako nagpaparegister. Ganun talaga. Buti na lang may alternatives pa ako nung gumaling ako. Nagcocompete din ako sa amateur Muay Thai kaya wala ring tigil sa training. Basta masarap mag-exercise.  :wave:

my first 10K run, matatagal na din kase ako ng 5K mga  funruns na siguro... time to upgrade na...ahihihi. finished the run for about 1hr and 10mins.. thank god natapos ko... sarap talaga tumakbo, lalo na't good for the body pa, run safe guys.

^ayusin ang pagtapak sa kalsada. ito yung pagkakamali ko nung last na takbo ko. nag ala kabayo ako at kinarera ang mga pros. napasama yung isang tapak ko ayun na feel kong may impact sa left knee ko. was injured for two days tapos nung nawala yung sakit, lagi na syang tumutunog.

and always start with minor stretching and some warmups kahit 5 mins lang.

first time ko mag 18k. feeling ko kaya ko pa hangang 21k. 1h 50min...depende din pala sa kundisyon ng sarili. dati 16k lang hingal na hingal at nanakit na mga tuhod at binti. :)

i wanna join the funrun kaso ang bigat ko na. nahihirapan ako tumakbo ng matagal. ano ba pwede ko gawin para bumalik ang resistensya ko. do i need to start the 3k? start threadmill ng mabagal o mabilis or alternate?

brow, nagstart ako mag funrun 5K agad, siguro brow training/practice muna bago sumali sa funrun... para hindi mabigla ang ating katawan, pag hindi kaya pwede naman maglakad, wag na natin i-push ang katawan natin, ENJOYin lang ang bawat hakbang! :-)

hehehe..yung sagip ilog nakakainis puro posing lang ang mga lintek. mag tumakbo pa ng galing gimik, naka jeans, jeje shoes, polo. lolz

yung dunks na neon colored na malalaking kinakain yung laylayan ng pants.

basta natawa ako sa pics at kwento ng mga kaofis kong sumali e..sila daw nalikad na lang yung 5k kasi wala daw space para tumakbo. mga estudyante daw yung sa bracket nila na panay posing lang lolz

Thanks for the tip! As of now, jumping jack + skipping rope muna ako sa kwarto since I've got no time jog/run around a vicinity.

been running for a couple of years now, but last year was when i did monitor my runs.

i don't join events so takbo lang sa park. 3x a week. an 8km run, then interval training for 5km, then finish the week with a 12km run. hirap lang pag nagkakaron ng shin splints so kelangan magrecover.

ngaun nagiisip nako maggym  :wave:
no pic, no advise...
