Just upping this thread as Im thinking of getting one and I have a few questions for those who owns or owned one.
1. How does it sound on stock parts?
2. Did you have any issues? (like parts, the wood, electronics or the overall built).
3. Is it better than a bnew Squire or other strats of the same price range?
4. What upgrades have you done and how much did it improve the sound?
Thanks sa mga sasagot.
my personal answers to your questions above, based on intensive testing instances.
1. How does it sound on stock parts?
pretty good. the strat shaped guitar will sound like a strat. and tele, a tele.
on a strat benchmark, for me, its on the borderline, good sounding. kinda like a Squier CV.
2. Did you have any issues? (like parts, the wood, electronics or the overall built).
the ones I have tried, no issues so far. if you're getting from GP, they make sure that what they sell do not have issues. so, buy with confidence.
3. Is it better than a bnew Squire or other strats of the same price range?
For me, it is way better than the guitars in its range. i.e. Sx, Fernando, MIC Tokais, MIC Bullet/Vintage Modified Squiers. I would say, a ballpark comparison would be the Squier Classic Vibe. you definitely feel that premium, but still, not quite a fender.
4. What upgrades have you done and how much did it improve the sound?
all of the TAGIMA's I've tried were stock, but with any guitar, I would have the nut replaced immediately with a Graphtech nut and better caps and pots.
pickup replacements will vary per user. what sounds good for me might not sound good for you.
at the end of the day, I believe, Tone is in the Amp
