Just wanted to know if available na locally vic firth 5A drumstick, don't exactly know the model yet, pero yung handle nya ay color red, compared to zildjian black dipped, etong sa vic firth naman, red dipped version.

I badly needed 7As or 7ANs 2 weeks ago. Since Lyric is the official distributor or VFs already, I went to Lyric megamall to get myself possibly a 2 pairs or 3 pairs of sticks. Unfortunately isang pair lang ng 7A ang meron. Do we still have 7As or 7ANs available somewhere else? Also, I availed the promo that you mentioned but the store rep said that you can only get the shirt if you buy signature sticks and not just ordinary VF or nova sticks. Ang labo kausap kse before I went to Lyric, I called the place up and verified that any VF or Nova stick would do basta its worth 1k above. Eventually pumayag din siya pero kailangan may signature sticks pa din daw ako na bilhin. Eventhough I don't need one, napabili din ako ng Steve Gadd sticks with the 7A which cost me roughly around 1500. It was a bad deal for me kse what I needed was 7As and I only 2 pairs of stick for 1500. I opted to go to Lyric kse loyal VF user ako when it comes to sticks inspite of a tempting offer of 6 pairs of Z 7As with a free splash were available sa JB downstairs which would only cost me more or less 3k. Sana we can have our store reps calibrated so each customer can go home a happy camper. Anyway, pa-update na lang sir if we still have stocks for 7As from Lyric branches around the metro.

Yes sir, available pa ang 7A sa ibang branches. A lot of 7As are available in TriNoma, Horseshoe Drive branch, as well as the Market! Market! branches. You can get a Vic Firth shirt regardless of stick model, as long as the purchase amounts to P1,000 or more.
Please PM the branch that mentioned that you needed to get a signature stick, ire-reprimand ko sila. Thanks! :-)

There are shirts remaining in some of the branches. For single receipt amounting to P1,000 or more, you get a shirt. So if you bought 4 pairs of Vic Firth sticks, you can ask to have the purchase written in two receipts. On the other hand, a single purchase of a P2,000+ item won't provide you another shirt. :)

@gep please magpasok sana kayo ng vic firth 3an. im definitely buying a brick of sticks pag nagkataon.
nagustuhan ko kasi yung vater dsk-tour/fatback 3a pero ang sporadic ng stocks ng lazer. nakakabwisit. balik vic firth ako kung magkaron ng 3an. trip ko yung stick na in between feel sa 5a at 5b, at maikli yung taper para malaki yung sound at mabilis yung throw. perfect for technical and fast music; a big sound without sacrificing speed and articulation. :)

New packaging sleeve at mukhang naiba yung proseso sa lacquer finish. Mas manipis yung dating at mas maputi yung itsura ng sticks kumpara sa mga nabili ko sa Lyric last year.
Wi-neigh ko yung mga sticks. Closely weight matched talaga ang bawat pair (less than a gram difference) at around 51 grams per stick, with one pair slightly heavier and coming in at 56 grams per stick.
Maasahan talaga ang Vic Firth sa matched weight kahit nabili ko online or yung nabili ko last year na pair ng 5A at 5B nung di pa ako conscious pansinin kung ano effect ng timbang at kung matched nga ba.
Began weighing sticks recently to gauge which range is comfortable for me and encountered a pair with mismatched weight (from another reputably branded hickory stick).

Ask ko lang mga kapwa tambolero kung may nakapansin, yung quality ng Vic Firth sticks ngayon (black sleeves from JB) hindi na maganda unlike yung red sleeves dati. Aside from the finish, napansin ko parang ang bilis na nila magkachip yung parang hilaw pa ata yung wood (not sure about the term). Anyone experiencing the same issue? Thanks!
