nababaduyan ako sa sound ng Emperor X.
Hirap ako sa PAgtono nun. hehe. Pero ok na,
Ano kaya yung better combination dun? yung pang Reso Side na.

Ganun pala, mas malakas ang Emperor X compared to other skin. Ayun lang yung napansin ko. Tama ba? Xlose area lang kasi ako tumutugtog. And feeking ko, hindi fit yung ganun skin.

Sir anong sound ba nakukuha mo and what ba yung target sound mo?

IMO, either ambassador or diplomat ang choices as reso combi nyan eh..

moon gel, o-rings, various brands have their own flavor.

tape pwede din. or..tune and let it ring!

Guys want to ask for your opinion, im planning to get a 10" acrylic snare, but i havent really used an acrylic shell before...i bought a fernando ambassador for the reso...what would be a good batter side, m planning to use it as a secondary snare, for tight tuned loose wire setting...your thoughts...

Hindi naman, medyo mawawala lang yung "warmth" nung head. Pero maganda parin tunog niyan basta tuned correctly.

agree. kasi ang clear heads very open ang characteristic. Coat's give that warmth sound. So pag nawawala yung coating, unti unti para kang nakaclear head. Good sound pa rin..but nagiiba na..

natatawa ako sa sarili ko bro.  :-D
akala ko tight na yung pagkaktono ko, hindi pala. Hindi kasi ako sanay sa may dot. Pero nakuha ko na. Maganda naman pala eh. Less over tone pero full of impact.

Gusto ko lang malaman kung what reso kaya yung maganda?

I personally prefer open sounded especially if you have a very good snare to start with.  Most good models have a well projected sound that is easier to mix. I'll try to find my board settings (yes, I write them down... less hassle) and let you know.  Most of the snares I recorded with were Yamaha's. Do have a compressor, only to curb the "spikes" and avoid peaking, but not dampen the snare sound.

I can't comment about your skin choices though since I use Aquarian.
