Is it alright to practice on air? Meaning practicing without hitting anything like drums or at least practice pad. Or without pedal and bass drum or bass pad.

Ok din bro as long as your focusing and imagining in your mind the proper sound and the motions that go with it. Parang conditioning bro. I do that before sets sa gigs.

I do that a lot, I mean yan talaga ang ginagawa ko, cause I dont have a drum set at home.

As long na alam mo ung pinapalo mo in your mind.

Kahit mga sinkopadong palo, minememorize ko muna sa utak ko then saka ko papaluan on air.

Minsan I used our sofa (nakatalikod na sofa) para sa hats/tom and ung upuan nilalagyan ko ng unan for snare.

Sobrang laking tulong nito, then when it comes for practice or gigs, application na lng sa drum set.

Very cool!!!

cguro nakakatulong cya s kamay. but s paa its really different when there is no pedal. kc there is tension where you need to exert an effort/force as kick on it if there is a real pedal.

Air Drumming ?!?

TEKA!! ...Air Drumming with sticks ang tinutukoy ko dito ha! Pag wala kang hawak na stick at may makakita sa 'yo, baka mapagkamalan kang "pervert"!
So Be It.

. be creative lang  8)

Totoo yan!

bro, mukhang ok tlga xa s wrist o s kamay kc basically drum stick lng nmn tlga ang weight dun plus ung bounce even when your hitting something. how about s paa mga tol? iba xa kc with a pedal there is tension.

At Heel-up naman pag single-strokes.Try mo!

ok ang air drumming lagi kong ginagawa yan sa bahay, air drumming muna bago sumalang sa drum pad, parang stretching pagmagwoworkout ka. specially sa traditional grip users. masnapapractise ung grip mo at malessen yung possibility na mabitawan mu ung sticks mu in the middle of a set. hustle un.

I always do this with or without sticks lalo na kapag nagsisifra because walang immediate accesible na drumset. Imagination na lang. Sarap nga mag-air drums kasi kumpleto ang cymbals, Eliminator d-peds tsaka naka Masterworks ako heheheh....sky is the limit sa iyong imaginary kit....
