In fairness Apple didnt include the overall UI of the Android Operating System (altho I think they are next) since this win against Samsung only made Apple believe that "they have a chance" to win over those who board their "Innovation Bus" and ride to a "free sucess".

With this I believe that it will be eventually GOOD FOR CONSUMERS and will be BAD FOR APPLE in the long run as this will make other companies "Innovate" and "not copy" their next products, this will give the consumers "choice" and will create a far larger scale of "Product Social Diversion" which will not be based on "trending" or "techno pressure" but solely on "originality" and "taste" that will again bring back the power to the consumers and NOT the companies that made the products.

Windows 8 UI is at the forefront of innovation right now, as it is far more different that Apple's famed User Interface approach.. Microsoft has made their UI (formerly codenamed "Metro") different and can be translated into another kind of "user experience".. right now it is still gaining ground as users are still "into" the Apple-type of user experience and the way iOS has made mobile computing the "hottest way" of mobile interaction.

But its just a matter of time before consumers get tired of it and eventually look for another Innovative Product.

totoo yan, it will make Apple's tech obsolete quickly since mapipilitang mag "innovate" ang mga rival companies and will not settle on the "bandwagon" stype of approach where their products are "direct-inspirations" of Apple's widely successful Industrial and Software designs..

mino-monopolize ng Apple ang competition and yung ibang companies kasi kesa mag innovate eh kinopya nalang to hitch-hike with the success without actually spending too much on R&D..

right now what they need is to innovate.. kailangan nilang gumastos on R&D and staffs like designers and engineers to create an absolutely different product on both industrial and software design..

ang problema ipinatent na ng apple almost lahat ng "gestures" and "usability" ng touchscreen technology na "kinasanayan na" ng mga consumers.. so if we are going to introduce new gestures and usability approach for the touchscreen technology without directly referencing Apple's approach maninibago talaga yung mga tao.. dun natin malalaman kung saan mas "madadalian" yung tao on using a technology without actually copying Apple's usability and user experience..

biased nga masyado eh.. one juror even said that an internal email was sent by the korean samsung executives about a number of iPhone features that they should "incorporate" daw in their design..

another juror based his decision on the fact that before the Apple iPhone was released Samsung phones sport a "physical keypads/keyboards" and it was significantly changed after the iPhone's release in 2007 and its subsequent success came Samsung's phones that suddenly resembles the Apple iPhone..

another Juror was reported to based his decision on the fact that even the "Packaging Design" of Samsung's products directly mimic Apple's packaging designs.

The case aint over. I'm pretty sure that even if Samsung is willing to give up and just pay the fine (which I highly doubt), many law firms and probably consumer groups will challenge the decision since this involves anti-trust law. This will, for sure, be elevated to Supreme Court.

Fanboys and fangirls kase ang juror. Tsaka kapag Apple naman ang dinemanda, laging dismiss kase "industry standards" daw ang design.

Naalala ko yung palaging nagbabayad sa jeep ng 500 pesos. 90's pa yun, so imagine kung magkano lang minimum fare. Naasar ang driver, pinaghandaan ng tig bebente singko na panukli sa 500, bwahahahahahahaha!
