Albums ala EJ's "Manhattan"

hi. i just want to ask for some good instrumental albums na yung songs are like eric johnson's manhattan  :-)

any recommendations? sarap kasi pakinggan while driving or just chillin' around. i remember listening to 105.1 (is it?) back in pinas tapos puro instrumental jazz minsan yung pinapatugtog... swabe  :-D

listen to Frank Gambale's albums... ganda ng mga compo nya... i recommend his "Brave New Guitar" album... relaxing... lalo na yung blues for hollywood :-D

if you want smooth or cool jazz, try listening to jeff golub, sessionist sya before with rod stewart, pero he has several jazz albums. try also eric johnson's bloom album, may mga cut dun na parang ala "manhattan".. try also listening to fourplay, the lee rit and now larry carlton days! mismo yang mga yan! enjoy!

i agree wholeheartedly with jeff golub, one of my favorite guitarists.  some of his material also fall under the band "avenue blue".  my fave cd's from him are "dangerous curves" and "out of the blue".  you can listen to some samples of his songs on http://www.jeffgolub.com .

di ko makita yung ibang albums na nabanggit niyo sir pero i bought the "temptation" album, i was like whoa! sarap pakinggan kahit si misis nagustuhan.

Eric johnson's song "manhattan" reflects his jazz inflections and influences, mainly coming from listening to Wes Montgomery.

EJ's song "east wes" is also a prime example of this.

smooth octave melodies ala wes.....using the thumb, alternating with the pick. awesome smoothness.

every guitarist is directly or indirectly influenced by wes....george benson, pat metheny, carlton and ritenour...even hendrix....

so any wes montgomery album would do sir.
guitarist telling the drummer what the intro to laklak was. caught on video.at binilangan pa ang drummer 1-2...1-2-3..lol
