Cheapest decent Hi-hat
« on: February 21, 2007, 10:29:49 PM »
Nabasag yung Pearl Hi-hat ko. Iba gumagamit. I need to replace it. Ano ba masusuggest nyo na pinakamurang maayos na kapalit? PlanetZ? Stagg? How much?

Naah! Go find something better than brass! A pair of B8 is your best option. Di agad mababasag dahil very bright ang tunog nya,so di mo na kelangang paluin ng malakas!

share ko lang.. IMO, Brass are for Tumpets, Sax, etc.. Still can be used for cymbals but won't give out the best sound.. Brass Cymbals are usually for starters(IMO).. So Buy/Use bronze types! B8 is one of the best..

cheers!!!

^^ aside from being duller-sounding, brass also breaks more easily.

hey brian aka in the tent..musta?bro is that will be for your personal use?or for your studio?..well if its for your personal use man i suggest you go a hi-hat that you really like regardless of the brand, model, or size..actually one of my mistakes in drum investing is hi-hat yun huli ako nag invest..i just realized na sya pala yun isa sa pinaka important na part ng cymbal set up...i cureently own a sabian aax fusion hats i bought years back..napansin ko bro mas ganado ako mag ensayo simula ng nagkaroon ako ng maayos na hats..well hi hats maybe one of the expensive cymbals but its worth it man and can be a lifetime investment if you made the right choice...cheers

I went to TMS kanina and I actualy tried the stagg double hammered 14" hats and its good mga katapat ng k rock hats ng zildian. I also tried the Single hammered and it sounds like planet z or zht hats ng zildian. and 1 thing is its cheap. mura nga yung splashes nila eh. galing. daan ka dun bro matutuwa ka sa offers nila. and napaka hospitable nila. the best service ever given to spectators\ checking out guys.

if i were you i'd go for stagg, and sabi sakin ni phin and richard made of copper and tin ang mga cymbals nila pero brass yung iba like the dxd and dxk study set. try mo yung 14 fat hats nila
if you can't join them, beat them!
