Added bass notes?
some 7 string guitars dont have the low-b string. instead they have an extra high-e string. there's actually a 7-string acoustic guitar i think made by martin. it has an extra g (its concept was actually to emulate a 12 sting at certain points).

dunno. i read that in a "guitar history" book at Powerbooks before. didn't buy it though, weird how the book did not feature ibanez guitars but featured the Despagni Jems.

no ibbys. thats new. ibanez became known also for the 7 string specifically the ibanez universe.
weird rin kase. everytime i see or hear of fender 7 strings, it seems to be a squier. its only today i heard about a 7 string fender. fender experts, please supply additional info :-D

ganun din masabi ko sa 7 string. totoo nga na mas marami kang hindi magawa sa 7 string compared sa 6 string, so you tend to be disappointed kasi hindi mo na magawa yung lightning arpeggio sweeps mo at the same quality and speed, and at the same time, yung mga songs na cover mo, hindi kailangan ng additional range, panggulo pa minsan kasi nasasagi mo yung extra string at sumasabit ka tuloy.

additional possibilities and perhaps an elongated learning curve if not steeper.
marami talagang possibilities ang 7 string in terms of it working in a band setting... kahit na cover songs nyo mga 6 string lang required... what if 2 guitarist kayo, yung isa naka 7 string and yung isa 6 string... then tugtog kayo ng "symphony of destruction" ...
a seven string can do everything a 6 stringer can, but a six stringer would have to detune to reach the range of a seven string

MOstly mabigatan tugtugan namin..pero nag si-silverchair din kami...tingin nio ba ok lang kahit may sobrang "B" string? or may tricks para hindi mag tunog sabit pag tinatamaan 7th string? like tuning 7th string to "E" para parehas sila ng 6th string..what do you think?
