Personally, I see Bamboo more as a chops band than a groove band, though they have a number of songs that feature nice steady grooves with less fireworks from sir Vic Mercado.Right now, in the local scene, I'm digging Kjwan, in terms of groove. J-Hoon is a great groove drummer.
dio, define chops and try to compare it with grooves...para dun sa ibang hindi nakaka alam.. di ko lang ma explain ng mabuti. hehehe.. thanks..
kahit anong genrepang practice ng groove.. thanks.song and artists thanks men.

for me NIACIN's latest album "High bias". dati I always listen and watch dennis chambers. but what the heck wala ako masyadong maintindihan sa mga tinuturo nya tyempo pa na medyo baguito pa ako nun. but now dennis has a big difference in his styles and his techniques. gusto ko yung groove nya sa high bias ngayon...share ko lang po!...
I have Kjwan's 2StepMarv. and I LOVE IT. Pero Imo, he's starting to sound like Vic Mercado. Fill wise and Chop wise. but Jun is indeed a good drummer.
