Yep, I agree with this. He is one poet of the piano.

On topic, Chick Corea 70's tracks solo and with Return to Forever

and revisiting the Legendary My Kind of Blue by Miles Davis, this is really one of a kind.

Just discovered this very amazing record of Thelonius Monk quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall at circa 1957.

For now, i'm just listening thru youtube. Next time na bibili ako ng mga items abroad i'm gonna include this CD album in the list.

EXCELLENT! The way jazz was performed coming from that period cannot be replicated--the golden age of jazz as they say.  My favorite bebop guitarists Tal Farlow, Joe Pass and Wes Montgomery are from that period.  The quality of their recordings may sound dated and "inferior" to today's best of digital and analog format YET the overall feel and breath of their works define what is BEBOP.

^ That is so true. Even with the numerous jazz and bebop artist around today, well, I listen thru them via iTunes jazz radio station, no one, and I mean no one ever get so close to sound as expressive and with the same level of soul like the way the masters does it in the 50-60s.
