Canon 550D for me..

for me lang ha..

canon is not choosy when it comes to 3rd party lens, all of its motor is built in sa lens.. EF.

hmm i beg to disagree. nikon is more lens-friendly even to older and really older lens models.

i will go for canon because its budget friendly but damn sony for catching up so fast, i might even sell my nikon setup for the latest sony dslrs

kaylangan talaga brand new?
d90+kitlens,
or d40 + primes,

im a canon user, in some point i agree with you sir specially with the color difference of 550D with nikon , i compared it with D5000, iba yung color.. im just adjusting it in lightroom.. pero ang advise naman saken calibrate daw ung color sa custom settings, but for me it cant be applied to all photoshoot eh.. default at lightroom edit nlng.

P35k? d5100 or 600d plus speedlight/flash, kung marami ka friends nka nikon, choose nikon, vice versa if canon, so you can ask them question/tips and mahiraman ng mga lens/accessories  :-D,
also if your more into video, choose canon

try to look these two cameras, d90 or nex 5n   :-D

It's a photography technique called controlling the Depth of Field (or DOF)

Quote
You achieve this quality by controlling the depth of field, which is the front-to-back zone in the frame in which objects appear sharp. When little else but the main subject appears sharp, that’s known as “shallow” depth of field. When the image is sharp from front-to-back, that’s known as “deep” depth of field.

In this case, the pictures are taken with "shallow" DOF. Notice the subject / foreground is much sharper that the rest of the image.

You need high quality lenses, with really wide apertures to get this effect. Pwede rin sa point and shoot ito, as long as you can control the aperture. Try checking the thread Bokehlicious :)

Depth of Field po yan.. to make it simple to understand, this is a effect that happens between your subject (or where the AF is focused) against the nearest and or farthest objects in a scene.

malaking factor dito ang pag gamit ng AF (autofocus) sa manual mode, meaning ung manual setting para ma-select ang tamang region of focus point.. ibig sabihin ituturo mo sa lens mo ang gusto mong focusan nya.. the effect happens when you half-press it on the shutter then the dept of field will automatically appears as your lens separate the subject from what is close or that surrounds it.

Ang focal lenght or haba ng distance ng lens mo from Point A(mm) to Point B(mm) also affects the DOF,

on the other hand BOKEH is different naman, kasi ito ay art ng non-focused light subjects.. you can compare them in pictures that you can search in the net.

in my opinion i cant suggest Sony NEX camera.. even LUMIX.. why?
where are you going to buy the lens?.. even if there is one its expensive and choosing it as a amatuer and having the potential to upgrade is not convinient.
for me its only nikon or canon, canon or nikon.
lets start with the lens.. canon and nikon can be used both 3rd party lenses.
they are both available as in everywhere.
plus factor the percentage of the users online that you can lean on when you want to ask something about it.

Need help in buying a DSLR
« Reply #1194 on: May 07, 2012, 05:53:23 PM »
My friend who plans on buying a DSLR this week asked for my help in choosing a camera. Her budget is 40k. I don't really have experience in DSLR's (digicam lang ginagamit ko) kaya patulong mga master. :)

Maraming salamat!

nabasa mo na to sir?
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1108072
in my opinion i'll go with nissin di866mkII,

okay yung nikonD5100 merong swivel LCD
