MUZIKLABAN ROCK U! IS THE YOUTH COMPONENT OF RED HORSE BEER MUZIKLABAN 2009.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOUNG, UNSIGNED BANDS FROM COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN NORTH LUZON, SOUTH LUZON, AND GMA TO BE PART OF THE BIGGEST, MEANEST, AND LOUDEST BATTLE OF THE BANDS IN THE COUNTRY!
CRITERIA:
The MUZIKLABAN ROCK U! auditions are open to amateur bands who meet the following criteria.
Groups whose majority of members are aged 18 to 24, male or female, with no recording/distribution deals with any major record label
Groups whose members are or were never part of any professional music outfit
Groups whose members are or were never finalists of musical events and/or contests of any direct competitor of San Miguel Brewery, Inc. and its parent company, San Miguel Corporation
Groups whose recorded materials have never been aired on a regular basis on national radio stations
Groups who have previously joined Muziklaban but have never qualified for the Grand Finals
All group members must be Filipino citizens
MECHANICS:
Bands must confirm participation in the Red Horse Beer Muziklaban Rock U! auditions at least 3 (three) days prior to actual audition date.
Bands must come to the Audition Points to perform two (2) Original Composition and one (1) Cover Song.
Bands must bring with them the following requirements:
- Completed Red Horse Beer MUZIKLABAN ROCK U! Entry Form (Entry
Forms will be given at the Audition Points)
- Ten (10) Red Horse Beer crowns per band member
- Song lyrics of the bands Original Compositions, typewritten on short
bond paper
The above-stated requirements must be enclosed and sealed in a short brown paper envelope. The band name must be written on the envelope.
