si Dave Lombardo pare yung original drummer ng Slayer. umalis siya sa Slayer nung 1992 then nag-experimento siya sa iba't-ibang banda (kasama na ang all-star band na Fantomas). nagbalik siya sa Slayer nung 2001. may bagong album ang Slayer, ang first album ng Slayer na kasama siya in over 15 years!

kung double-bass, creative fills and technicality ang pag-uusapan, doon ka na sa orig at pinaka magaling (imho).

It's Dave Lombardo hands down!! This guy is a living legend... The Godfather of Double Bass Thrash Drumming... One of the most important drummers of the thrash/speed metal genre. He has inspired and influenced so many prominent drummers such as John Dolmayan, Josh Freese, Mike Wengren, Gene Hoglan, and many more. Even Jordison and Roddy would agree on this. Look for the September 2006 issue of Modern Drummer, for Dave Lombardo's cover feature.

I know these three drummers are great drummers... But it's like comparing Weckl and Colaiuta to... Buddy Rich! Lombardo is a myth in the double bass drumming world.

correct. sa bagay kanya-kanya pa ring opinion yan. pero kahit 200bpm pa sila lahat pumalo, may ibang dating pa rin si lombardo. malalaman mo na siya agad yun.

Jordison! Creativity/Originaliry kay Jordison na ko. Parang tunog robot na lang kasi si roddy eh. Oo mas mabilis siya, pero parang paulit ulit na lang kasi siya eh... No offense mga bros opinion ko lang naman.. Iba si Jordison eh pakinggan nyo na lang yung album nilang "Live 9.0" kung hindi nyo pa napapakinggan. May lutong talaga. I can't wait to hear their new album to be released this year..

Di ko na nga pala sinama si Lombardo sa pinagpilian ko since senior/pioneer na siya at isa din siya sa mga main influences nung dalawa. para sakin di siya dapat kasama sa poll na ito.. hehe

pure speed and agression in Reign in Blood... some of the best fills ever used in metal in South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss... proving he could still do it in Testament's The Gathering... then coming back and kicking pwet all over again with Slayer.

not to mention the unique approach to drumming he displayed with Fantomas. litsen to Director's Cut or Delirium Cordia... much more creative than anything Jordison and Roddy would ever come up with.

he's on top of the drummer food chain. he'll just devour them all... that's my opinion of course. hehehe...

joey jordison and derek roddy are great drummers, among others too many to mention. they can hold their own. highest respect to them...

Dave Lombardo anytime. His style has indeed influenced a number of metal drummers today. Among all the albums I enjoy his drumming the most in the South of Heaven album. Back then he was bad-ass and now he is even way more than that. In a recent interview he said that looking back on Slayer's older material he feels that he has improved so much more over the years and that is very evident indeed in the Christ Illusion album.
