yes,classical guitarist sya pero tumutugtog din sya ng jazz using electric bass.
favorite bassist ko hehe i saw him play few times already..galing  :-)

si sir joey is behind the mighty jazz trio MAJAM with sir ruben..sir joey is not only an amazing drummer composer, he is also a sitar player having studied in India for a number of years..He also teaches Art Criticism at UP. :-)

yes, I heard that he does plays the bass, but I haven't seen him at any gig or jam sessions...

Just my personal best shortlist since I have not explored (though even if I had...) the local Jazz as thoroughly as I should be but here goes:

1. 137 Trio - I find their performances to be really inspiring.
2. Tots Tolentino
3. Edgar Avenir - Just saw him on video, and I think he's amazing.

uy 137 trio! with kuya daryl.i saw them once playing at ten02 astig yung version nila ng take five ni paul desmond metal rock! :-o very exciting band.
