bangbus thanks for adding those pics, I remember your Kit at the pearl forum specifically your bass reso.
I also wanted to get a DW but I decided to go w/ pearl's ref series. I'm glad I did! Maybe after 3 years but for now...my wife would kill me!

pmack akala ko akira jimbo snare na ibang version. i love it! very elegant looking, nice glossy body finish with matt maple hoops! super bagay sa pearl masters mo!

Hi Rex, just wondering if you could help me out with this one since you have a double bass setup...i've been wanting to set my kit in this manner as well but i'm having trouble moving the hihat pedal right next to the left kick pedal coz of the hihat spurs/legs, i know i have to fold it up and use a certain adapter to keep it upright and stable.

in this regard, could you provide me with a close up pic of the adapter you used to support the hihat stand onto the bass drum hoop (see photo below). it looks like a pearl dual tom/cymbal arm holder/clamp with one end attached to the trunk of the hihat stand and the other side to the rod of a cowbell holder/clamp, this is my best assumption.

your response and help will be greatly appreciated. i am hoping to hear from you soon. many thanks!

hello!

i would just like to share pics of my drumkit.

It's a Maya kit bought aroud 1999, i customized it a bit. i painted the hoops and lugs myself! that is,after i sandblasted the chrome off at work without my bosses' knowledge hehehehe! i'm planning to by a kit soon! torn between a DW and Reference kit.

it took me week to finish painting that stuff! kasi paunti unting ipinupuslit sa work para ma sandblast hehehe! nways,i used your ordinary black aerosol spray paint straight from the hardware store. naalis na kasi chrome finish kya kumapit ang pintura. ive been using it on gigs for almost a year na pero d naman naalis,and thats without any case for the drums! pinabayaan ko nalang yung blue wrap nung drums kasi i like the color. pinalitan ko nalang yung bass drum stands at floor tom stands ng gibraltar.
with regards sa racing strpies naman. masking tape lang yun na kakulay ng drums, but i plan to leave it there kasi mukhang mgandang nga ang look!
