Parang ok ang naging paglipat ni Mike ah... kasi a few weeks ago, mike gave a contratz to Avenged's Nightmare album for being the most downloadable album in Itunes...

SOme people do not understand that Mike Portnoy is NOT just DT's drummer.  Say you can deliver 100% of the goods in the drumming department... you still have to fill in for the extra 400% MP gives to DT, such as, social networking, songwriting, arranging, business-talks, and all other non-musical sides of DT.

correct, e mismong set list nga nila (which changes from show to show) si MP gumagawa. he really is the driving force behind that band.

wala naman silang prospect, Petrucci tweeted that they will hold auditions for the drummer position next month (http://twitter.com/JPetrucci/status/25158458514)

MIKE PORTNOY REACTS TO FANS.
« Reply #85 on: October 09, 2010, 10:38:33 AM »
He posted this in his forum last month.

"Sorry gang, I hate to be a party pooper...but all of the threads about "who should be the new DT drummer" is REALLY difficult for me to see right now....

I know it's all just creative and free discussion for you guys as drummers, DT/MP fans or simply general music fans...and this site is all about "freedom of speech" (or at least to the extent that Weymolith sees respectful and tasteful), but it's just too hard for me to sit here and read everybody's choices of "replacements" for me...

Remember, I didn't *WANT* to leave the band or have them continue without me....

And it's still very hard for me to sit back and watch this kind of discussion...

Right or wrong, no guy going through a divorce wants to watch some new guy immediately move into the home he built with his blood, sweat and tears for 25 years and f*ck his wife....

I know many of you (or at least on other sites) will say, "well then, you shouldn't have left"...but I NEVER wanted this outcome.....and to think of DT withOUT me breaks my heart....

I'm not trying to tell you guys what you can and cannot talk about....I'm just asking for some sensitivity for a little while....this is even harder for me than you guys!

Thanks for all your support and understanding everyone,
MP

Stated in his letter that he's trying to salvage everything they have including relationship, fun, happiness and every memory they had in 25 years in Dream Theater. I'm tying to point out here is that Portnoy needs a break for them to have a time to think things all over and resolve the conflict that they had.

For the all the Portnoy fans including me, let's pray for the relationship between Mike Portnoy and Dream Theater because what they had in 25 years was already a strong bond between each band members.
