Nakabili ako ng J&D stratocaster 1997 yun model , trip ko mag relic... Nagstart ako sa body kahapon, next yun pick guard , pickup cover at hardwares,
Sa tingin niyo mga sir ok na ba yun pag karelic na ginawa ko? Yub sa back ng body di pa tapos
parang medyo sobra sa edges and not enough wear sa middle areas ng face nung body?
i'm no expert of course (heck, i spray painted my first strat florescent green and didnt put on an clear coat), but a good guide is to strap on the guitar tapos take note of where your body makes the most contact with it, tapos dun ka mag add ng "wear". like sa area where your right forearm would rest, the part sa back where it presses against your body (and yung belt buckle area), yung area where your pick swings along (even if you pick like a girl, like i do).
tapos dun sa other areas, mga dings and smaller scratches lang. unless you abuse your guitar like SRV did. yung wear sa outer edges like you put on there would normally be associated with yung antics like SRV's sa El Mocambo where you puts the guitar on the floor and steps on it and stunts like that. and if you're that rough sa gitara, it would make sense na yung middle areas of the body would be more worn out too (like SRV's #1, na halos wala nang finish yung face nung body).
