heheh Casio did make those 'sax- looking' controllers. I am more interested in the WX series. Do you play any of the models?  I think yamaha is still selling the WX5 but has stopped production of the WX11 and WX7. Paired with the vl70m module it is very impressive. Tom Scott and Michael Brecker use wind midi contrllers but I think they are more into Akai EWI models.

Breath Controllers also... there was a model that was used by a CLINICIAN ( Steve Smith ) nung nasa G.A.Y. Co. pa ako, connected it to the breath controller input of the Yamaha EX-7... pero kailangan pa rin ng practice kasi BREATH+KEYBOARD+PITCHBEND&MODULATIONWHEEL.... also, the Vintage DX7 has a breath controller input.

Casio...sabi ng iba mas malapit sa laruan yun hehehe. Yung Akai at Yamaha ang mas maganda ang tunog.

Some wind controllers ( but only few patches/waveforms/oscillators ) have built-in sound... BUT MOST OF THEM DON'T. If it has a sound in it, it's most likely to be a TOY...im sure.

I actually used the casio as a controller for my synths and modules. It was ok pero I often ran out of breath. That's what I meant by now playing keys. Fingering the keys on a midi wind controller can be a radical experience.

Ako naman baliktad..wanted to record songs sa comp using keyboard controller...end up using step-write. (hirap talaga ng keys pag late mag start. Salute to keyboard guys!). Saw a WX-11 0n sale really low....(di ko alam kailangan pala ng  WT11 which was not available anymore) had to get the vlm70m.
