A Shure SM58 might be ordinary to you.

Get a good mic and a usb audio interface.

Word of advice... don't cheap out on your interface or it will come back to bite you later.

I am very interested in home recording. Yung simple lang. Makapagcompile lang ako ng mga ideya at ilang practice tracks. Pakicheck naman po kung okay yung plano ko. I'm planning to buy an instrument mic, SM57 to be exact, and an audio interface.

Bale signal will be from guitar to board to tube amp to SM57 to audio interface to laptop. Medyo luma na laptop ko at wala pa akong budget magpalit. Specs po ay core i3 first gen, with 2gb ram. Okay kaya yung mga Lexicon interfaces? Like Alpha or Lambda? May headphones na rin po ako for monitoring, SennHD280 pro.

Sana po matulungan ninyo ako. Salamat at God bless.

So good ang Scarlett 2i2 or Audiobox USB for my purposes? Btw, okay lang po ba yung specs ng laptop ko? Kaya pa ba yun? Also, sa channel.com.ph lang po ba makukuha ang mga ito rito sa Pinas? Thanks.

Wala kang talo sa Focusrite Scarlett.

Kung mura hanap mo, Behringer Q502usb.

My laptop is also core i3 and 2gb memory.. kaso nag-upgrade ko to 8gb.. but still may audio drop-out pa din.. maybe because of the built-in video card.
by the way i'm using m-audio avid recording interface.

Onboard video may be a problem, but also your hard drive. If its 5400 rpm, it may be too slow to support audio. Do not partition your drive; better if you can fit 2 drives in the laptop (which is often impossible).

Guys question, noob here. I am thinking kung magkakaroon ako ng problema if parehas nakaconnect sa USB yung Behringer Xenyx 2222USB at Presonus Audiobox at sabay ko gagamitin as separate input for recording?

Di kaya mas maiging iconnect ko yung audio output nung Presonus Audiobox sa Xenyx2222USB? :cute:

Thank you in advance mga sir.

No point in connecting output of audiobox to behri; you only end up passing thru the A/D/A conversion twice and for what increase in quality? None. you may actually end up decreasing quality because the behri's A/D/A converter is not exactly stellar.

While you can use both presonus and behri when using WDM drivers, you sometimes get better latency when using asio. The workaround is to use asio4all to "tie" the 2 together, although you sometimes suffer higher latencies and don't have positive sync between the 2 interfaces.

Excellent idea !
2 Hard drives is actually my solution din. 2TB seagate now in my dvd slot

780 - 850 peso sa Gilmore... (2.5" sata laptop hard drive not included)

Convert your internal DVD to a Hard drive !

NOTE: See your laptop manual to remove your DVD. Usually 1 screw lng... 5 minute swap ! FACEPLATE from old DVD attached to new converter. looks 100% clean

That's the way to do it! Another idea would be to put in an SSD as your system drive then a large capacity HDD in the DVD caddy. Take care with compatibility though - not usually a problem with windows machines, but one 2012 macbook that I worked on would not accept an HDD in the DVD sata connection. Turns out Apple hardwired the system that way.  :-P

Magkaiba po ang ASIO driver and Device driver. Device driver is what you install so that your PC can detect/use your G2. ASIO driver makes it possible for your PC to use an external audio interface/device, which is your G2.

Check if you have the latest version of these drivers and have it installed correctly.

Good day, Need help.

is Shure SM57 good for recording guitar amps? This is the only mic I can afford for now, but I kinda like better mics
like Large Diaphragm Condenser mics which will took me 4-3 months to afford. :)

Any suggestion? Tips?

Thanks!
