Afternoon delight mga ka P.O.G.I.

What is the true essence of an Offset guitar?

15 degrees of an offset waist, as per the original Fender patents.

Waists at a 15 degree angle and the truth that people won't like you, likely treating you like crap along the way. People only see your value later on and they start babying you and buying you crap from Mastery or Staytrem because they can't do a decent setup (or want to use heavier strings).

The true  essence of an offset guitar...

An offset guitar need not be expensive, or adorned with embellishments or marketing titles.
they are the rejects, cheap, forgotten, left to rot...
they are the beaters, they give you a hard time ...
you struggle, they are banged up, dented, scratched, sticker infested...
you throw them, smash them, drop them smack them on mic stands and cymbals..

etc.. try ko compose ng maayos..tipong parang yung APPLE ad, the crazy ones..

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

a bit hesistant to do a full relic, thinking of yellowing the white plastics first using some brown shoe wax polish...

is it advisable to dull the body finish with fine steel wool?

Will you also be replacing the volume and tone knobs with white witch hats?

just leave it as it is. you might get tired with the guitar and decides to sell it. you might have a hard time reselling with a relic mod. just my 2 cents.

hahaha. the urge is too strong to resist. nice result so far but still lacks a bit of wash. the wear is very "contrasty" to the white body. try buying  a tamiya red-brown enamel paint and thin it to 30-70(paint thinner) mix then have a wash. to tone down the "newish"white color.

niiice! thanks for the tip, i still want to dull the finish to be more consistent..tamang tama yung tip mo sa final na attack, now im trying to solve the crazy bridge buzz problem and some height action adjustments.

annoying pala tong design nila na to..mas straightforward padin pala yung Tune o Matic....haha

Get a Mustang Bridge perhaps?. The Jaguar in the collection had a problem, but worked much better after switching bridges.

That is why fender introduced the classc player series. Designed for modern playing.

I would like to think of it like a restored '66 ford mustang for daily drive. The overall classic body design is there but should be upgraded to fuel injection engine, disc brakes and air conditioning for modern daily use.

add a shim sa neck, usually I put 60 grit sandpaper on heel. almost always sakto siya para ma raise yung buong bridge, creating more break angle and pressure sa bridge.. don't forget to add shims rin sa pickups to compensate added height.

thanks gunlak, nung una I placed a shim, and it felt right... tinanggal ko after, nageexperiment lang...I think Ill go shim it again..might get a pack of 11's and a mustangbridge..
I notice pag nilalagyan ko ng pressure yung extended part (shorter break angle) nawawala yung buzz and I feel a little better sustain lalo sa higher frets...

damn bring back the good old tune o matic!
