hmmm...i'm planning to buy Oak Drumsticks din...what do you recommend? TAMA or Pro-Mark? yung sa TAMA nakita ko na, yung sa Pro-Mark hindi pa...thanks...
So basically, generic Oak sticks generally suck, but branded Japanese Oak sticks are pretty tough. I checked out sites that discuss Oak drum shells and they were really helpful. Apparently, Oak is very loud and has a nice tonal range. Which brings me to my next question: what do you guys think of Bubinga? I've read online reviews, but I'd like your input as well.
As in good, or expensive? Or both?
bubinga shells = gold!
japanese oak if i'm not mistaken yung sa promark, matigas talaga siya at pangmatagalan! yamaha offers oak custom sets also AFAIK. in terms of sound itself, highly resonant and punchy ang tunog, produces nice overtones IMO!
