I have an old record Jeff Beck with Jan Hammer live, galing old fusion type of music.

Really? I have that album too. Other Jeff Beck vinyl records that I still have are Blow By Blow, Wired, and Rough and Ready.

Jan Hammer performed in Billy Cobham's Spectrum album also. He sounded so "raw" at that time.

scott henderson
danny gatton (redneck jazz, that's fusion too!)
wayne krantz
brett garsed
jeff beck
jimi hendrix
eric clapton (cream era lang, their improv excursions are jazzy)
mike stern

Rocket Science is a very nice album too.  They made it in the same way as Thick....pasok lang sa studio, recorded and jammed some stuff, then picked out what they wanted and put it on CD.  On the spot improv fusion!

yep..saw them play on tv years back when i was still in school..i think it was my first experience of seeing such a group perform with a unique kind of music..could be weird for some people but i find it cool!  The band had kid's toys as well which i viewed as part of their setup as instruments that produce yet another sound aside from the musical instruments..ibang klase! unique talaga!  that's the art of music!

i saw jimmy played also with allan holdsworth..a live vcd or dvd concert in japan.

Any of you guys remember this fusion band jamming that was being shown on RPN9 during late 1988? I can't remember the name of the band but they were good. Every take of their jam was an interview on how they conceptualized each music they performed.
I have stated that there are more bad sounding suhrs then there are good ones.

I bought that on CD just recently (been looking for quite a bit. I think i paid P200 for it :)

My favorite track is "Do you Know the Voices That You Left Behind?" - McLaughlin with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, and Jack de Johnnette. Their tribute to John Coltrane's "Giant Steps" :) Similar chord progression I think...
