Hi to all. Have been informed about this site from a fellow member at PinoyDVD. And I should have joined a lot earlier when I first started into basic home recording.
Just wanting to indulge in my fantasy as a performer, I was able to assemble some basic stuff like a cheap Schindler 4-string bass, a Squire strat, a Behringer mixing console, a Zoom GFX5 and a Casio effects/organ plus an old epiphone classcial guitar and experiemented on being a one-man band laying individual tracks on a cakewalk pro audio software on a P4 PC. It's defiitely a very satisfying effort to create your own music. Well, not really create as in make original compositions, just copying some music and doing my own arrangements to the extent that my amateur unschooled creativity can bring me.
I wish I had visited earlier to learn more about this very engaging hobby. I have a few finished recorded stuff in wav format. Sadly, I had come to the conclusion my talents are better reserved for listening than being a recordist/performer.
