I'm more into the groovy stuff nowadays - r&b, hiphop, etc.

I also enjoy playing rock and fusion music, though my prog-rock chops are rusty right now.

i listen to almost all types of music although these are particularly musically appealing to me for my drumming pleasure:

grunge baby here mostly alice in chains and pearl jam...

alternative, pop, rnb, hiphop and genres of the likes of foo fighters, incubus...

punk-pop-emos like: mellancolin, plus44, less than jake, my chemical romance

tama dapat ganyan ang tanong. kasi parang sagot nung iba eh parang "anong genre ang alam mo?"
isa lang dapat ang sagot kung rock, jazz, trash, ballad ang sagot mo.. pili ka ng pinaka magaling ka sa genre na yan.

Just an observation...  I think drummers are more of the more humble bunch as compared to guitarists, bassists and/or other musicians.  Most drummers are adaptable to various musical styles, so they might not identify or pinpoint which genre they excel the most.  Well, maybe except for some who exclusively plays one specific type of music.  Just my humble opinion...

i agree.
plus, drummers, in my opinion, are the most open ones in terms of personal liking of musical styles, preferences. mga drummers ang natatagalan sumagot sa slumbook pagdating sa tanong na "what's your favorite type of music?" . mga drummers mahirap ikahon.
