Don't believe the hype bro. Have tried at tom lee and for me,this does not even comes close to Roland. It's acoustically noisier and the cymbal triggers are similar to plastic medelis. The drum module's sounds are ok but not special

Really???? Hmmmm.... Same model na ginamit ni Dennis Chambers yung na-try mo sa Tom Lee?

tahimik pa rin compared sa acoustic hehehe

mesh heads ang pinaka silent, mas tahimik pa din yung rubber pads ng lower models ng roland at rubber pads ng yamaha kesa dun sa pearl epro

Definitely mas tahimik ang Roland. Sa feel lang magkakatalo. Lalo na sa cymbals (although yung Alesis Surge Cymbals ang nauna kong nakita na gumawa nito).

thinner shells, thinner hoops (1.6mm!) but still with the "Reference" Tag.
specs-wise Masters is better than this one. if they want to sell this, this must be less expensive than the Masters.
Maybe TAMA's superstars are eating up most of the pie in the mid-high end drums market.

this is lower (i guess) than the Reference series.

Also, i noticed. kumonti nalang ang Pearl Signature snares.

could it be Pearl is losing artists through the years? no more Eric Singer sig, V. Paul, S. Ferrone, M. Smitty Smith, etc

Pareho lang din kaya yung specs nito dun sa former signature snare n'ya sa Pearl? Kasi parang magkapareho lang talaga, brand lang ang pinag-kaiba.

most likely parehas lang ng spex yan. wala na din pala yung morgan rose sig.
pagdating sa endorsements, pera pera ya. im just wondering bakit diniscontinue yung ibang sig snares pero hindi pa naman lumipat yung ibang artists: mangini, rose, degrasso, singer

parang 8 lugs lang yung sa gretsch while yung old sig snare niya from pearl has 10.

sound wise i like both reference and tama starclassic, but to make the reference thinner. hmmm i dont know  :-D
