Wow, I like. Super mahal kasi Yamaha & Roland. Pero in terms of durability, ok kaya mga 'to?
Title: Re: Medeli Electronic Drums
Post by: black_panther on March 11, 2008, 05:59:55 PM
i believe durability will depend on how you take care and play this electronic drums, and besides we give warranty on our electronic items anyway..

again we are not here to compete with a yamaha or a roland electronic drums, just like when we brought stagg cymbals here, we have no plan to compete with a zildjian or a sabian but to give a quality alternative to drummers,  we brought medeli here to give our local drummers option and solution to the expensive cost of electronic drums.

feel free to visit our music source branch if you are interested on our medeli products, testing it is free anyway and we hate putting "pls dont tap" on our items....cheers man

So what can you say about the sound? And the build quality?
Title: Re: Medeli Electronic Drums
Post by: alvin_11 on March 11, 2008, 06:45:13 PM

Saw the "Electronic Kit" earlier at TMS while my bandmates and I was looking at a Stagg Bass. All I can say is WOW... Robert was playing it and he had test it too. Unbelievable!!! Now, if only I had the money, I would have bought it right away. The way I see it, its very durable enough that even heavy hitter can play with it, like me hehehe. Very nice kit...

Post by: Ralph_Petrucci on March 11, 2008, 09:44:35 PM

just came from TMS earlier.

sir robert let me test the E-drums.

out of ten, i would give it a 9.

what i like most is, you can have a rim shot, cymbal choke.
the pads also feel realistic. especially the bass drum which can be used with a double pedal.

very affordable. perfect for silent practiceing. sound qualiy is very good too. :D

only down side is, the cymbals dont feel real,
the hi-hat release is not very responsive unlike yamaha's DD-55.

but all in all, it is verrrry goood :D

the DD-502 has no "rim-shot" on the snare and the Crash & ride do not have a "choke" effect.   and the sound module has just a bit less features.

19k... tsaka 29k... kasi the cheapest nice kit that i can think of is fernando or mapex.. pero wala pang cymbal na maganda yun. tapos para mapaganda mo pa, papalitan mo pa ng skins. so for its price, two thumbs up ako dun sa medeli.:) or i should say two thumbs up talaga sa sound nun kahit di natin pagusapan price. try nyo na lang po.:)

Yup, one of the first things that JP and Robert did was use the MAPEX double pedal on these baby's and they took the beating very well....and we all know how Robert uses those double peds.

again, we invite you to check it out at TMS, there is nothing like assessing something yourself.

ilan days or months kaya warranty nito,..,, very interested here

NOT!

ok

i respect that, we can all have our opinion

the medeli is only 30k so you cant really expect anything better than that. crappy sounds, that's a given. flimsy hardware can be buffed. bottom line is, i will still spend so much less 'upgrading' the weak parts of the medeli than say buy a new set of heads for my acoustic kit.

i also dont know why you have to put in the argument na "madaling masira". its an electronic drum so no matter how hard you pound the pads, it wont make the sound louder. so why play hard in the first place? lakasan mo yung amp or headphones mo para lumakas yung tunog.

about the crappy sounds, the medeli drum brain has a midi out, madaling i-connect sa pc yun para makakuha ng mas magagandang tunog and there lies its potential.

i havent tried it yet but i really want to. reading your comments dont really encourage other people to at least give the kit a chance

As for me gamitin ko sya pang ensayo so ang inorder ko eh yun lower model na tig P19K. Over all the Edrum is good and worth it for it's price range.

Value for money to. I'll drop by sa TMS one of these days.

Ask ko lang...if you own an acoustic kit, worth it ba na replace mo 'to with a medeli e-drum? of course this is assuming na you can't have both...tnx!!!

However, if you live in an apartment or condo and would like to practice anytime, e-drums is the best choice.

By the way, is the Medeli D506 the same as the Simmons SD7k? It looks and costs almost the same.

No Problem men. I live in a condo and I just use a Yamaha dd55 with a Peavey 100KB/A. I want to upgrade it soon and it looks like I'm getting the Medeli DD-502 since it will be for home practice only. Discount naman diyan Black_Panther!  :-D

Nakakainins lang talaga sa condo. Pumalo ako kagabi ng 9pm at a minimum volume level. Wala pang 5 mins kumakatok na ang guard. So better get a nice headset. I'll go to the mall later and look for one. Haaay......I want a house with soundproofing.

pare there are many factors to be considered if you will use electronic drums, what type of clients ba target mo for your studio?is it the pros?or the kids who are just starting out,how much are you going to charge and how many bands do you see practicing in your studio in a day,  bryan i know gusto mo maka cut cost or makatipid which i understand, but there are other things to be considered sometimes aside from that,  i suggest if you will make it for rehearsal studio purposes then i think a real kit would be more advisable, pare we brought in Medeli e-kit here to give option to our drummers sa mga high priced na e-kit pero di para palitan ang acoustic drum set,   , hope this helps man

Just got my Medeli edrum set from Music Source up in North Edsa and am loving them! Great for practice and silent playing. A lot of fun too.

Guys, I highly recommend them!

A big thanks goes out to Robert and Joy for their exceptional assistance. They were really helpful and accommodating. Was kinda a ways to get to the North EDSA store from my place but just having the pleasure of watching Robert Dela Cruz rocking out on the drums up-close was worth it in itself.

Title: The top five reasons to own an electronic drum kit:
Post by: forerunnermusic on August 30, 2008, 08:39:47 AM
The top five reasons to own an electronic drum kit:
(as taken from the Sweetwater site)

Perhaps we're biased but sometimes we think drummers haven't fully caught on to the tremendous power and convenience an electronic set offers. Keyboard players and even guitarists have embraced the technology that's allowed them to take their music in new directions. It's time for drummers to recognize that they have the same potential. Here's our Top Five list for those of you who haven't considered all the advantages of owning an electronic kit.

    Sonic Versatility:
Nothing beats the ability to dial in just the right drum kit sounds to suit the music! If you're a working drummer, chances are you get calls for gigs that cover a number of different styles of music. Tonight's pop singer might turn into tomorrow night's jazz trio, with a 1970s cover band rehearsal in between. Instead of having to carry and maintain a collection of acoustic kits you can stick with the setup you like while delivering the appropriate sounds for the gig. Plus, you can use your electronic kit's MIDI output to trigger a whole world of sounds beyond what's in the module!

      Live Gig Convenience:
From small clubs to concert stages, an electronic kit can solve many problems associated with live playing. In environments where you're frequently pressured to play quietly, you can do so easily - thanks to the near-silent performance of the pads - while still getting the sounds you want from your module. And on the large stage, you're able to play without requiring mics, which means no feedback, no bleed from other instruments, and no jumble of stands around your kit. Plus, using your module's built-in effects and multiple audio outputs, you have more control over the sound you send out to the house PA.

   Recording Flexibility:
An electronic kit gives you the power keyboard players (both novice and experienced) have had since the early days of MIDI sequencing - the ability to play your track and then edit individual notes or instruments to your liking. That allows you to capture the groove you want but still be able to nudge a late hit into place or balance the velocities of a tom fill. When you're happy with the track, your module will play it back exactly the way you want it, with your personality and style intact.

   Freedom to Practice:

If your neighbors were reading this, THEY'd buy your kit! Let's face it: all drummers have encountered complaints and resistance when they try to practice. An electronic kit gives you practice-pad quiet volume while you can hear yourself through headphones. But there's more to it than that. Most modules feature built-in metronomes and many have time checkers (which establish a tempo, then turn themselves off and "listen" to analyze how consistent your playing is). Plus, many modules come preloaded with practice songs so you can play along to actual music, while others include auxiliary inputs so you can plug in a CD or MP3 player to practice to your favorite artists.

   Portability:
No matter whether you're on the road or practicing in your apartment, you can't beat the compactness and portability of an electronic kit. These kits weigh less and require less space in the van than acoustic drums. And at home, when you've finished practicing, your kit folds down to take up minimum space in a closet.

sir tama kayo about the keyboard amp .... kasi it can give you clear sound ng lahat ng frequency needed for your drums  ... but in gigs naman eh you don't bring your own PA .. monitor lang need mo .... i think portability ang issue ... bulky na nga yun set mo dadala ka pa na bulky amp ... and would you be really bringing you kit on gigs??? need mo lang siguro ng amp for rehearsal and small function .... a keyboard am or a multi purpose, the likes of Carlsbro Colt Journeyman Multi-Purpose Amplifier amp, would do ....

the pads are made of rubber so the sound is really muffled just like with mute pads for acoustic drums.  Unlike the Rock band kit that are a bit made of plastic and gives out a stiff sharp sound that does get a bit noisy when you hit it hard.

We have gotten a lot of good feedback from buyers.  As a matter-of-fact, Brown Man Revival is getting their two (2) Medeli DD-506 sets to use for their gigs at 70s Bistro (Thursdays) & Simaka (Fridays).  They use one set for standard drum sounds and the other for other percussion sounds.

The ethnic group Kadangyang will also be picking-up their DD-506 for their use in their performances.

and the band Queso will be getting theirs this week...Robert dela Cruz has pounded on the store unit at The Music Source to his hearts content a number of times and it came through wanting more.

we offer 2 sets. the DD506 and DD-502, the best, the big difference is that the cymbals of the DD-506 has "choke" by gripping the rim & the snare has "rim shot".  the sound module also has more sounds.

both have Midi but only the DD-506 has USB connectivity.

to: dude from TMS

sir, i'm interested.

actually, im in the market right now and my eye was really on the roland  v-drums TD3 being sold at about php52k, until i saw this post. if you're familiar with the roland models, they are mostly marketing nowadays their mesh type heads to get a realistic feel and "bounce" on the pad--- will this affect playing or is it more just a personal preference?

for the medeli, how's the response on the DD506 in terms of dynamics? like, if I hit it hard or soft, will it react the same way?  also, I heard that the hihat pad can't keep up with fast hits.. maybe there is some adjustment option which will help?

being china-made, I honestly do have my initial reservations (well, if you think about it, practically everything is made in china nowadays anyway) because of the reputation of china-made products. with that, how do we go about the warranty? and the parts like pad replacements, defective electronics and repair. possibly, what if I  wanted to buy additional pads or cymbal triggers and mounts, will you be having available spare parts for those as well?

I'm quite suprised searching medeli in youtube and finding that it is already being distributed in europe and some parts in US. hope you can assist me on these queries.  kindly PM me also contact number and directions to your store please (where exactly in EDSA).

thanks,
dfr

The Good: You can replace the heads with remo/evans/aquarian etc... 8" para same feel pa rin sa acoustic drums.
The Bad: Hirap Humanap ng 8" heads satin!!!

for the medeli, how's the response on the DD506 in terms of dynamics? like, if I hit it hard or soft, will it react the same way?
The Good: Mas malakas palo, mas malakas ung magenerate na sound nung triggers

also, I heard that the hihat pad can't keep up with fast hits.. maybe there is some adjustment option which will help?

The Good: Hmmm... I think this is yet to be proven
The Bad: Wala adjustment as far as the DD502 is concerned

The Good: One year ang warranty ng Medeli E-Drums
The Bad: Wala pa available expansion parts na binebenta

yup sir roland td10 un. same price kasi.

Title: Re: medeli drumset or roland td10
Post by: phfreq on December 17, 2008, 02:43:29 AM
i believe medyo malayo ang td10 dun sa medeli.

kung ok lahat, I would personally go with the td10. pwede upgrade firmware nugn td10 kung hidni ako nagkakamali. Mas marami pang features yon. Tapos sa pagkaka-alam ko eh medyo high end yang td10 (I believe yan yung pinalitan nung td12 which is a level lower than the td20 (which is their top of the line now).

pwede ka punta dun sa vdrums.com/forum and basa basa ka don about the td10. I think good deal na yang td10 for $30 assuming everything is working. Yung mga pads and hardware, magagawan ng paraan yan. Yung laman nung module ang importante.

I tried playing on the Medeli e-drums yesterday at TMS. Sad to say (and I'm just being honest), mas maganda pa rin talaga ang Roland e-drums.

You mentioned about the expansion card (or additional sounds) of TD-10 , I suggest na wag ka na kumuha kung meron man. What you should try is Drum VST na lang like toontrack's SUPERIOR DRUMMER 2 and fxpansion's BFD. Ang layo ng samples nito compared to the Roland samples (or any other drums samples available).

My current setup is a Roland TD 3KW and Superior Drummer 2.

Ok pa rin ang Medeli DD 502 as an alternative to Roland TD3 and if you want to use it for silent practice. DD 506 may not be practical.

Anyway kanya kanya yan. I chose TD3SW for value for money.

Hi Wikiman4,

to make better recordings, it would be best for you to use an external sound card to get the best quality.  these external sound cards connect to your laptop via USB or Firewire.  the built-in sound card in most laptops are generally mediocre in performance.  the best thing is these external sound cards usually come with software from Cubase, Ableton or the like, it would give you a world of flexibility and expansion for your creativity.

Most of these external sound cards have headphones out for your pre & post recording monitoring.

Hope this helps.

For simple recording, you'll be needing the following:

(2 pcs) mga 10-50 pesos lang yan each

(1 pc) mga 50-100 pesos lang yan

Medeli Module linout -> connect to RCA with RCA to Phono Adaptor -> 3.5mm jack deretso na sa line in ng laptop/PC

Gamit ka ng simple programs like sound forge...

Like forerunnermusic said, the better the sound card, the better quality you'll get.  Here's a sample of my recording using the setup above with my DD502.

http://www.imeem.com/people/Le0IrMG/music/DrzB_mr1/medeli_aux_inmp3/ (http://www.imeem.com/people/Le0IrMG/music/DrzB_mr1/medeli_aux_inmp3/)

But the do take note that the Trigger I/O sound module that is used by this Alessis model is available at TMS and may be used with any trigger system, weather it be a Medeli, a customized set or any trigger.  It also comes complete with BFD software

O.T. here for Forerunnermusic:

I've seen some Alesis drum machines in TMS. When or will you be offering Alesis Edrums set?

http://www.alesis.com/usbprodrumkit

Sorry for the o.t.

Wikiman,

regarding prices, I have to email you.  what is your email?

the USB port in the Sound module is just like any other USB perriferal device that is connected to a PC, its like the port in a printer.  a USB cable has different connectors at both ends.   Its typical.

About the USB,

Sir forerunner,

how much for the tapco link usb and the audio control?

Yes, Medeli makes for Simmons as well as 5 other brands in based in the US, Australia & the EU.  they have been in the business for over 20 years.  They are also one of the biggest contract manufacturers for keyboards & pianos which is a far more sophisticated device.

diba parang parehong pareho ng medeli to ?

Yes sir. I've seen the Trigger I/O module at TMS. What I really want though is the set. Kinda curious about the feel (especially the SURGE cymbals). Hopefully you'll be able to bring the Alesis Drumset here in the Philippines.

+1 it would be interesting to see that in our shores. Hopefully the price can be competitive at least close to online prices. Been eyeing the medeli too but maybe holding out a little bit more can have its benefits (hint hint)  :-D

hello dito... i'm not really a drummer though i play drummania and rock band often... i'm interested in getting one of these e-drums... i'm thinking of getting a dd502 or a dd506... plan ko gamitin sa rock band (using seth's adapter) at sa dtxmania (for drummania practice)... and syempre, gusto ko na rin matuto talaga mag-drums... which would you recommend? up to 30k lang sana yung price...

do you think that additional 10k for the dd506 instead of dd502 would be worth it for me? meron bang iba pang major differences yung 2 aide from the rim shot and cymbal choke (though hindi ko naman alam kung ano talaga alam ang nagagawa ng mga ito)... kasi sa drummania at rock band, we just hit the colored notes...

may nabasa naman ako somewhere dito, di ko maalala kung saan... na may advantage naman ang dd502 over dd506 aside from the price difference...

any updates sa prices dito? kung may 0%-interest installment sa HSBC, the better... kung may dd-508 na, how much kaya?

I recently went to Hi Fi lounge in festival mall (june 17,09), tumaas na pala ang price ng 506 and 502. 37k+ for the 506 pag credit card and 33k+ pag cash. for the 502 around 27k. Gusto ko na sana bumili ng 506 if 30k and charge it but 37k pala ang selling price kulang pa sa credit limit (haha) sayang. :? I commend the sales personnel by the way they are very accommodating. Ipon muna ng enough cash sana meron pang 506 by that time comes. :-D

bought my medeli e-drums set about a year ago sa music source nung nasa edsa pa cla.  It's really great for practicing, practicing pieces with a metronome, recording tracks from the console to a laptop, etc etc.  Do wish there were more live kit sounds and i wish the hit hats were a bit more responsive.  I guess I gotta save up for the yamaha or roland hi hats.  Too bad they dont sell those per piece here in the Philippines.  8-)

I've tried some yamaha and roland kits and the hihats of electronic kits don't really feel like the acoustic/traditional hihats.

IMO pag stock sounds lang talaga (medeli, roland, yamaha or any edrums), di talaga makukuha ang nuances ng hihat (or toms, snare etc). But if you pair your e-drums with a drum software (like Toontrack Superior Drummer), makukuha mo ang gusto mo ayon sa adjustments and fine tuning mo.

You can't bro. Drum softwares are installed sa pc, then controlled via midi using your e-drum as your trigger. IMO, mas wise magsetup ng pc vs. buying an expensive e-drum module.

Some drum modules are now paired with drum softwares (like Alesis Trigger I/O with BFD Lite).

But my point here is not to bash e-drum modules coz we can't trigger those drum softwares without them  :-D (unless you're a keyboardist and you don't play the e-drums live).

Medeli e-drums are quite nice when paired with a BFD or SD2 (or any other drum softwares).

Yes. The feel is really different sa pads. You can get those "Surge Cymbals" from Alesis though. I'm also interested in those surge cymbals. Real cymbal feel coz it's made of real cymbal material, not rubber.

As of now, I order mine sa Sweetwater. Ok naman ang pricing (actually mas mura).

get a 2-way powered speaker, about 100 watts would be good.  its not so much the watts but to have a good sound speaker that will have the right sound that would be distinct from that of a bass amp.

sir, ask ko lang, i have a fender KXR 60watts amp, pang keyboards sya (Keyboard eXtended Range). pwede ba ito na amp for the dd-506? i mean, will this amp brings out the real sound of the dd-506? kasi pang keyboard e, but ang keyboards meron din naman drum machine and it sounds good naman....

TIA :)

Mayroon ba sa inyo ditong nagamit na yung DD508 or 506 sa mga live gigs or events? Mas Ok bang gamitin s'ya sa mga live gigs sa mga churches, as compared to an acoustic set?

same pa din performance so far...haven't tried using it sa gig though...
home use lang talaga...

If you have a decent amp i'd say go and use the e-drums sa live performance...otherwise the best pa din acoustic set

Hi sir, adding cymbal sound possible...both cymbal pad have dual trigger so basically 4 cymbal sound ang pwede i-program. Adding another cymbal pad means getting a new module as far as i know, sakto lang kasi inputs nya.

Hope this helps...

no, the number of triggers to be attached is all used up.

but, if say, you would only use 2 toms, the trigger input of say TOM-2 can be changed to trigger another Cymbal trigger.

the Module has a fixed number of trigger inputs.  a go around would be, say, if you only use T1 & T3, you can connect a Cymbal trigger to the T2 trigger input.

a cymbal trigger is P1,800 (single zone)

just wanted to share, i noticed some people were asking about the medeli drums compatibility with games such as rockband.

here are videos of me on my DD506 connected to my PS3 thru the Madcatz Pro Adapter (the thing that converts the signals to inputs recognized by the ps3). works perfectly well with the adapter, pwede laruin yung "pro mode" wherein all the cymbals and pads are used.

Sir Bhadz, I'm using a MEDELI DD518DX, so far wala namang mali sa MIDI Mapping ko, plug and play po, tapos deretso sa MIDI Instrument ko, lahat naman tama ang mapping. ang hindi ko pa mafigure out is yung sa choke. kasi pag chinoke ko yung cymbal, magchochoke siya sa una, tapos yung normal crash cymbal ko, magtutunog choked narin :| weird. so ngayon, iwas muna ako sa choke ng cymbal pad while I search for the answer :(

Title: Electronic Drumset Owner Problems (repair) DEFECTIVE ELECTRONIC HIHAT PEDAL
Post by: Duke Alec Bryan on January 17, 2014, 09:08:24 AM
Hi! Guys, does anyone know where are the repair shops for a broken ELECTRONIC drum set in Philippines?

My model is Medeli DD506. Everything is fine but the only problem is that it's ELECTRONIC HI-HAT PEDAL IS NOT WORKING AT ALL. I opened it up and saw that the STRIP OF CIRCUIT connecting the motherboard of the hi-hat pedal and the controlling circuit (the one you see underneath your cellphone's & PlayStation controller's button pad) is destroyed. I don't know where to go. I brought it in an electronics repair shop but they said they can't. Someone recommended I should go to RAON, I haven't tried yet but if anyone has better ideas please share it. Another friend said, I might be buying another unit of the HI-HAT PEDAL but where because i'm not going for an answer of BUYING A NEW E-DRUMS.

I started this forum because I felt a lack of forums for us, Electronic drum owners in Philippines. The problem of where we should bring our drum sets for repair and others. Thank you! I might post later the picture of the DEFECTIVE ELECTRONIC HI-HAT PEDAL.  :-( Please help!

Okay siya. Very portable. Decent Drum Sounds. Almost the same with Yamaha DD55, ang difference niya, may USB Out siya para pwede mong gamitin as midi controller. sobrang laking feature if you ask me hahaha

Wala naman pag sa module yung gamit. pero as a midi controller hindi ko pa nttry, pero basing sa Youtube Demos as a Controller, mukhang okay din naman.

Can you change the sound module and insert a roland module on it?

well, you can use the pads with a roland module.

depending on the model, the Medeli's Drum Module has a MIDI-IN as well.

And pwede ba gamitan ng eq pedal yung medelli dd506? Hehe

Alesis, Medeli or Roland? Or kahit rate nyo sya from 1 being the top and 3 being the bottom kung anong pinakamaganda sakanila para sainyo. Hehe. Any suggestions po mga sir? Maraming salamat!   :-D

MEDELI makes the pads used by ALESIS kits so we can say na almost equal sila in terms of hardware. magkakatalo nalang sa Drum Module or BRAIN. yung nagpapatunog sa mga pads.

On paper, mas maraming features si ALESIS kesa kay medeli. though mejo malaki rin ang difference nila in terms of price.

Honestly kasi, kahit ROLAND pa yung gamit mo, usually naman yung module sounds ng edrums hindi maganda. ang tendency ngayon is to trigger VST Instruments from your computer using the pads. dun ka nakakakuha ng legit drum sounds. and this functionality is available on the medeli, the alesis and the roland. so its all on your preference na.

personally, I would rate ROLAND the highest. kasi nga, alam na tin. si roland yan. ALESIS and MEDELI are on a tie for me gawa ng price to feature ratio and usability.

ang akin lang, i'd still choose a medeli over those crap ringway kits. sobrang, hindi talaga yung ringway.

2 cents lang.

Salamat sa pag sagot sir Ralph! Pero parang mas mura ng konti yung Medeli compared to Alesis. Or depende talaga sa Module? Or mataas lang ang pricing ng JB? :D

Benefit lang ng GEN16 is the real cymbal feel. but as far as Im concerned, sound quality is a must for me. buti sana kung ginawa ni sildjian na "triggerable" yung Gen16. :| eh hindi. so pass na talaga. again, there's a reason why JB is giving them away with the ALESIS Kit.

@Harugs

DIBA PAPI. not bad yung DD518DX! Mesh Heads and great response for a quarter of the price! yung kapresyo niyang alesis, rubber heads pa rin. and yes, iba tlaga nagagawa ng VSTi :D HAHAHAHA parang totoo yung black beauty no paps =)) lalo na yung rogers wood 14 na simulated =))

mas madali pag superior drummer paps kasi may "LEARN" button siya. meaning, kaya niya palitan yung midi notes niya to match your module.

ano bang gamit mong DAW btw?

laptop ako paps ASUS. 8GB RAM, i7 na. so no problems talaga.

Dati nakanetbook din ako, sobrang hassle mag monitor.

Sa i3 tancha ko okay na yan kung konting tracks lang. mahihirapan ka na pag more than 4 tracks tapos lahat may nakakargang memory intensive VSTs (i.e. Reverb)

ayun, sabi nga ng fellow forumers,

Medeli = The Music Source Ali Mall 2nd Floor Katabi nang InTune at LAZER
Alesis = JB Music Shopwise Cubao Katapat nang SM katabi Seafood Island

prices:

medeli mas mura di hamak sa alesis. ang dd506 nasa 30k regular price tapos 26 ata pag sale price.

ang same level niya halos sa alesis is DM5/DM6. nasa 50-60k, pero may libreng Gen16 ng zildjian (na IMHO, hindi maganda)

test mo lang parehas and then you decide kung ano mas okay for you.

im a Medeli user btw. after a year and a half, swabe pa din hahaha

lazada link:http://www.lazada.com.ph/catalog/?q=medeli+drum+set
lazada showing DD518DX priced @ 47k - while sta mesa has acquired same merchandize from lazada and selling it @42k :)
any leads?

Hi Co Phil Music E-Drummers Enthusiast.

I had created an FB Specific to E-Drums - please park your FB accounts by joining. Let's wait till the population matures.

Hopefully this could be another medium to consolidate Enthusiast. Hence, will not be limited for Philmusic domain.
There, we could post in new finds, questions, comments, suggestions, and even buy and sell of products.

*For now, it is also a Buy and Sell as a part of its feature, not the main goal though. We'll have a separate E-Drums Classified when the population matures.

TMS Cubao sir.

it is pretty decent. so far, all of my friends using it have been happy. kahit ano namang gamit pag hinarabas mo masisira hahaha pero under normal use, okay anman.

soundwise, its your typical digital drum sound. you might wanna use it with a DRUM VST or USB Module. :)

it uses a plastic pedal so, its not really advisable for double pedal setups. you might want to get a separate bass drum trigger and use your real double pedals with that instead.

Hi All,

I'm planning to sell my drums, and buy an e-drum like medeli. di ko narin kasi ma-maintain. And sana makapagtayo ng mini home recording studio, and it's expensive to buy microphones, mixers etc.

For the one who already bought Medeli drums, ok naman ba? sound quality and/or recording? :)

Thanks!

ok na ok. pag recording naman usually ipplug mo rin yan sa VSTi like superior drummer so that default sounds wont matter much. as long as the module supports USB connections for midi, then it should be fine.

Got myself a Medeli DD315 as a present for myself. So far I'm lovin' it.

Sa hands medyo madali lang mag-adjust, but for the pedals mahirap. Napapa-double-press ako kahit hindi intentional. Nasanay kasi ako na even though I'm not stepping on the pedals eh nagta-tap pa rin yung feet ko for timing purposes.

Just in case I would want to upgrade the foot pedals, compatible ba yung mga foot triggers from other brands like Roland, Yamaha, etc?

Called up JB music, unfortunately they can't sell their e-drums by part (kick ped, etc). this is gon' be hard.

will mounting the kick drum part of the Medeli 315 make this easier? since it moves a lot causing double triggers. lol

will mounting the kick drum part of the Medeli 315 make this easier? since it moves a lot causing double triggers. lol

I suggest always playing on a carpet or placing rubber stoppers at the bottom of the pedal.

^^did that. worked fine. thanks!

Crash - Crash
Tomtom - Ride
Snare - Hi hat - Floor Tom.

Minsan may times na kahit na yung upper rightmost na pad yung pinapalo ko tumutunog yung left tomtom (middle row) and floor tom (pero mahina lang, and umiilaw sila kahit di kailangan). and sometimes flunctuating yung volume ng upper rightmost pad. Thanks!

DD315 is a table top drumkit. hindi siya pwede kabitan ng double pedals and wala siyang cymbal pads.
sa medeli, yoju're looking at the DD518dx (top of the line; mesh heads). kung entry level, they have the DD502 and DD505. DD518 is at around 52k. I got mine for 43k sale price.

DD505 is at P29,995, I saw someone get it for 23k, sale price. but still, I suggest you go for the roland.

last question.
