thanks mod! i just noticed sa mga ibang music videos ng mga band after hitting the crash / ride, i can see at the bottom that the cymbals are taped that made me wonder why. i also recall when i was kid learning to play, yung hi hat ng kit ng church namin naka tape din kaya napaisip ako. salamats!

mga sir speaking of tapes me isang studio ako na napuntahan. yung snared drum may masking tape sa ibabaw ng skin. Ang lutong nang tunog parang piccolo! Ganun din ba mangyaye sa ibang snare? i mean ganun ba ang result ng paglagay ng tape sa snare drum?

as far as i know tape lang ang nilalagay, wala pa akong nakikitang drummer na naglalagay ng tissue o foam sa cymbals or a cymbal na nilagyan ng ganun..

btw, naisip ko na so kung maglagay ng tape sa ilalim nde na ganung masyadong cutting yung tunog and also to remove the high pitch sounds that the cymbal produces lalo na when you're practicing in a small enclosed room. good job
